Traveling Trimmer House call (client's house) grooming and pet transport to/from my own home grooming salon. By appointment only. I do not use a mobile grooming van.
(9)

I offer house-call grooming, to include transporting pets to/from my own home grooming salon if your home is not conducive to safe/comfortable grooming. I bring everything EXCEPT for a tub, I need to use yours! I only use products specifically designed for pets. I do not do hand-stripping. I may be able to groom your cat. Cat grooming is dependent upon whether your cat will tolerate it and/or if y

ou can assist in holding her. I'll be posting educational tidbits regarding dogs, cats, and grooming in general. I may even add some posts about horses!

Our Story

House-call grooming is done in the comfort of your home which may be less stressful for your pet. Depending upon the size of your pet and how your tub is set up, I may use a recirculating shampoo system that I set up right in your tub. Sometimes, the itty-bitty dogs can be bathed right in the kitchen sink! I’ll need a well-lit location to set up the grooming table, dryer, and if applicable, the clipper-vacuum. I’ll need access to an electrical outlet as well. Once your pet is bathed, I’ll move them to the grooming table for drying and clipping. I use a high-velocity dryer to blow water from the coat of your pet. It has variable speeds, but can be loud. If your pet doesn’t tolerate the dryer, I’ll have to stop at that point and may not be able to complete the groom. I’ll keep you in the loop as I groom. If your dog is a shedder, the high-velocity dryer will blow that fur around.

Do you have a dog that sheds a lot and you don’t want hair blowing around your house? Would you rather not have the grooming done in your home? You can bring your dog to my home salon. I have a complete set-up to include a Sav-Ur-Fur bathing system, hydraulic table, and clipper-vac. I’ll still be doing house-call, but if you prefer not to have hair/fur blowing around your house, set up an appointment to have your dog groomed at my place!

As for me, I attended the Virginia School of Pet Grooming in Manassas, Virginia, as well as PetSmart Grooming Academy in Culpeper, Virginia. I’ve attended many Groom Expo’s in Hershey, Pennsylvania, where continuing education classes are taught. My main goal in grooming your dog is to ensure they have a pleasant grooming experience. Your dog’s comfort is my priority. I will not put them through undue pain and stress. Brushing out mats is painful. If the products I use do not make removing them easy and painless, they will be clipped short. Mats do not occur overnight. I will be up front in helping you keep your dog in great shape!

I’m a member of the National Dog Groomers Association of America. I’m also an Air Force veteran and spouse of an Air Force retiree. We have two adult children, a German Shepherd dog, a Dachshund/Yorkie (Dorkie) dog, a Ragdoll cat, a rescue barn cat, and a horse (living in Florida with our daughter).
