Why we need better in Canada 🇨🇦

In May 2015, we adopted our newest (and most lovable) member of our family, Kabo. Little did we know, we would be saying goodbye to her less than 3 years later. It left me looking for answers and asking “why did this happen?” Kabo’s untimely passing led me to months of research, and it became painfully evident that what we were putting into her bowl everyday was contributing to her demise.

Studies show that one out of two dogs is expected to be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. From kibble to canned food, regulations in the pet food industry do not protect dogs from the malpractices found in commercial dog food manufacturing, such as adding corn starch fillers or synthetic preservatives. Over the past decade we have seen countless pet food recalls, and an ever-growing lack of trust by consumers with the industry as a whole.

Kabo, is creating a new type of food for dogs. We are producing Canada’s first fresh, human-grade dog food customized to your dog’s needs.
