Pampered Paws Cat Hotel

Pampered paws cattery has many uses; primarily we are a safe, peaceful cattery for your pets to stay whilst you go on vacation.
However, we also provide 'transit accommodation' for cats who have been rescued, until they are able to fly.
This facility is used by either fellow rescuers, or by tourists who have fallen in love with a cat whilst on holiday and want to take it home.
Ella, Bertie, Keo & Cyprus have all been rescued by different people who were here on holiday, and this morning they all left for the airport to go to the UK.
It's been a pleasure to help know them for a little while and we wish them all so much happiness in their new homes 💕

As either current or previous clients of Pampered Paws Cat Hotel you will be aware that the Pampered Paws Cat Hotel supports Ella’s Blind Cat Sanctuary, which was set up in response to the fact that Cyprus has so many blind cats with nowhere for them to go. Ella’s Blind Cat Sanctuary offers these cats a place to gain confidence and have the chance for adoption, with those cats not able to be adopted remaining permanently at the Sanctuary. To achieve this, funds are needed for expensive eye operations and day to day costs of keeping the blind cats.
Apart from funds raised from the Pampered Paws Cat Hotel we have signed up with Easyfundraising, which partners with over 7,500 brands who donate part of what you spend to a cause of your choice. This will not cost you any extra, the cost is covered by the brand.

So yesterday, our lovely Lin (founder of Ella's blind cat sanctuary and Pampered Paws) celebrated her 70th birthday with friends at the Octagon Tavern in Vrysoulles.
The party was a total surprise to her - as you might be able to tell from the expression on her face 🤭.
Happy birthday Lin, we all hope you had a wonderful day 🥳🎂

We have just heard the sad news that one of our furry regulars at Pampered Paws has passed away.
Meg had been suffering from a kidney condition. This picture is from her last visit to us about a month ago.
She was a sweet and loving girl and will be very much missed by us all. We send our heartfelt condolences to her mum Sharon 💓

WE CANNOT MAKE PROGRESS IF NO ONE CARES - UNTIL OF COURSE YOU NEED A RESCUERS HELP .. PLEASE SIGN NO MATTER WHERE YOU LIVE IN THE WORLD .. WE DESPERATELY NEED CHANGE HERE .. IT TAKES TWO SECONDS TO SIGN 🙁 AND PLEASE TO ALL PAMPERED PAWS FOLLOWERS .. SHARE AS WELL .. IT SEEMS WE ARE GETTING LOTS OF SHARES BUT NOT ENOUGH SIGNITURES .. 🙁

Thousands of stray cats are born and die on the streets of Cypriot towns and villages. Sign the petition, and share it with everyone you know to demand from the Cypriot Government to allow overseas vets to come and help neuter these poor animals, and end this torture.

**Update in Fliss**

Fliss is a rescue cat that stayed at Pampered Paws until she flew to the UK just before New Year. She stole a little bit of everyone's hearts whilst she was here, and we are overjoyed to see she has settled into her new life so well 💕

Macey had an extended Christmas and New year staycation, and has been with us for 2 months. So sweet, loving and vocal, and an absolute delight to look after. We're already looking forward to Macey's next visit with us in March 🐾

**Third time lucky for Panos 😺**
Panos was rescued whilst his new mummy and daddy were here in Cyprus on holiday, and came to stay with us to await his flight to join them. Sadly, he had two flights cancelled in December and today he finally started his journey home to Aberdeen, where his mum and dad are eagerly waiting for his arrival along with his new feline sister. He is such a lovely boy with an incredibly sweet nature and from all of us at Ella’s / Pampered Paws, we can easily say it has been an absolute pleasure having him stay with us. We wish you many happy years in your new home with your new family.
I would like to say thank you once again to Elena Papaleontiou and Linda Demetriou for arranging the flight and your wonderful organization. Additionally thank you to Su Elmore - Yianni, one of our volunteers for collecting the paperwork this morning, to Gina Barrett another volunteer who came in early this morning to help get the work done so I could go to the airport, and to Sheila Hooper who kindly drove us there. I would also like to thank Panagiotis Tsoukkas at Furry Friends veterinary clinic for taking such good care of him 🐾

A recent guest was Bruno. He was rescued by his new mum, but as they were about to leave for a month to go home and pack up to move here, they needed him to be safe whilst they were gone. He is a very special loving boy and it was such a joy to have him stay with us. He is now at home with his mum and dad and his furbaby siblings who also traveled to Cyprus . He is a very lucky boy and they are very lucky to have him. He won all our hearts whilst he stayed with us 🐾

Oliver was another cat saved from the streets and stayed with us while waiting to fly to his rescuer and new mum in the UK. He was a delight to have and gave us many smiles with his cute little ways. It was so nice to help him and to be part of his journey to his new life. We wish him all the best and a long and happy life 🐾

Malinka was a guest with us recently while waiting to fly to her mum in the UK and was home for Christmas. She was so loving, and it was a delight to have her stay with us.
