DEVASTATING NEWS...Help came too late and poor Tito passed away at the vets today...despite our efforts and the support of the people who didn't know him, he lost the fight...we are so sorry baby, wish we could do more.. 😔😔

Whatever we try, doesn’t seem to be working for Winnie…

She is stuck in a kennel where she’s been for over 3 years now 😔

Winnie is one of those dogs that have lost faith in humans, but desperately want to trust again.
How do we know?

In the shelter, Winnie is usually shy with new visitors.
But when she went to a foster home for a while, we saw a completely different side to her: she relaxed, slept calmly for the first time and was keen to become closer with her foster family.

We know that all Winnie needs is a home and a family that will show her affection and give her a reason to trust humans again.

She is only small, around 6 and healthy.
Please, don’t make her wait until her eyes turn white and her coat turns silver 😢

In almost 10 years of existing, we have never ever before wrote a post asking for help for a kitten!! We don't know who is the brainless, heartless human who decided it's a good idea to throw a cat at a dog shelter but thanks to the quick response of our volunteers this soul is safe! But, she is sick with FIP so she needs a foster home to recover as she has a long battle to give.. we can't think of someone who could take her in but we know there are some amazing people out there and someone will step in for little Tito. Although our experience on cats is zero we will provide everything she needs and we will stay by her side all the way to recovery so we BEG you, please help us help her!

Mila wants to say a great big thank you to 's Pet Nutrition who donated her all of these goodies to help her have the best start ever to her new life!! Mila was waiting long enough at the shelter and she was breaking our hearts the family she always wanted stepped in and took her finally home! ❤️ Have a good life sweet girl, you deserve it so much!!

Yesterday sweet Brad flew to his forever home- leaving his two siblings Bobby and Barry feeling confused and unwanted. These wonderful boys who show resemblance of Labradors will make perfect pets, they’re eager to learn, friendly and well socialised. Today once again Jack is left behind 😢💔 Today his beautiful roommate went on an adoption trail. Of course we’re over the moon that she’s out of the shelter and in a loving home, but we can’t help feeling heartbroken for Jack. It’s always him being left behind, always him finding a new roommate just for them to leave again. Jacks not a bad dog, just because he’s not a small ‘easy’ dog does that really mean he should just rot away in a shelter cage? I just don’t get how no one has fallen in love with him yet? Jack has spent over 80% of his life so far at the shelter, and that’s enough to break my heart. Please please help us find someone for Jack, we’ll do anything we can to get him out 🤍

Good morning dear Sirs and Madams, my name is Alan ☺️

I hope you don’t mind if I take a second of your time.
I live in a shelter and I am a really good boy every day, doing my very best to find a new mum.

No one seems to stop by my cage so I thought I’ll write to you here…

🦮I am just 1 year old
🦮I’m a perfectly behaved
🦮I am very good with kids
🦮I’m very good with other dogs
🦮I don’t have any maladies that I know of…

If you wouldn’t mind considering me as your pet, I would be incredibly grateful.

The shelter life has been rather stressful and tiresome and most of my siblings have departed to the UK.

Guess who flew home last night!! 🤩✈️

Albi, Dante and ….drumroll…..PATCH!!

We couldn’t be happier for all of them and especially for Patch, who was very unlucky in finding his forever family before!

We know that doggies already landed in the snowy mainland Europe and are now on their way to the UK 🚚

Please do not forget to we still have many souls waiting for the home: Albi’s brothers Alan and Angus for example 🦮🦮

Come down to Dog Valley between 10:00 and 14:00 on Sunday 26th January to meet the lovely dogs ready to find their forever homes or a foster home, below are some that are waiting 🐾 there will be a small market with bits to buy, ranging from pet bits to books to other lovely bargains to be had! The money raised will go towards saving our shelter, so we can continue the work we do!

Jasmine is still waiting for a home!

She loved a trip to Troodos mountains to be able to feel the snow for the first time in her life 🤩☃️

❤️She is just above 1 yo., perfect with kids, currently learning her manners in an amazing foster home- so by the time you adopt her she will be house trained too!

❤️Jasmine is young, energetic and cuddly- a perfect family dog.

❤️Jasmine is a healthy girl too.

My goodness…

Can you see those amber- coloured eyes?

Just one look and you’re absolutely hooked, you can’t leave the shelter without shedding a tear when those eyes, that were looking so intently into yours, now follow you to the front gate, to your car, away…

You have to look away because the thought of leaving her and those eyes, is hunting you.

Leaving her in a concrete grey cold kennel. Leaving her alone. Until next time 😔

Please adopt Sunny. She’s a perfectly behaved, gorgeous, slender dog that you will fall in love with instantly. And you will never be able to stop loving her.

We are horrendously in debt and our account is frozen which means we can’t get any more treatments…

We know January is a tricky month for everyone but if you happen to have a spare euro lying around, we would put it to a good use- promise 🫡❤️

**URGENT APPEAL – PLD READ!!!** It’s almost Christmas and despite our worries about the shelters future, we still need to provide the best care for our 22 doggies! Our vet debt has gone out of control and we really NEED you to donate what you can spare and help us repay it!!!

We don’t know what to do about Ermis…

He’s one of the longest residents and never had any interest or application..
Someone told us we shouldn’t bother advertising shy dogs because no one wants them…

So should we just give up on them because they are a bit scared, because some horrible human hurt them in the past? Is that the reason we should just leave them to d*e in the shelter?!

We certainly don’t think so! There is always someone out there who understands and has enough love in them to pour into a little dog’s soul to heal them.

Remember Phivos? Remember Hope? Remember Goldy? Remember Ross?
All of those extremely shy dogs were adopted and now live amazing lives full of love and joy.

We will keep trying for Ermis. There is definitely someone out there.
Ermis is 5 and trusts people he knows. We think he will open up on a home in no time ❤️

I guess Demi is being a typical teenager 🤷‍♀️

We asked her to take a flattering photo in order to find her a new mum or dad, but she clearly doesn’t understand the severity of her own situation…

Cyprus is currently cold and snowy, Demi spends 23/7 in a freezing concrete kennel.

Meanwhile her two siblings are in the UK leading the best life a dog could dream of- warmth, love, cuddles and company…

C’mon Demy, pose for us…We have to find you a home before it’s too late 😞

Different dog, same story. When on earth will it stop? Last night this poor sweet girl was dumped at our shelter, she’s absolutely petrified- so it’s clear she hasn’t been treated with much love in her life. She’s safe now which is the main thing, but she seems to have some issues with her eyes, which of course we will get checked out with the vet- as well as the rest of her health. She’s now been named Nadia, and we will keep you updated on her progress ❤️
