Manos’s story- I thought my time had come, I thought that was it. I was starving, covered in open wounds and abscesses, and I had given up. I’d searched every bin I could, and it was one of the coldest nights in Cyprus records. So, I laid down in the road, and I waited to die.
But then I heard a sound, a soft, kind sound like nothing I’d ever heard in my painful life. I ignored it, too cold and painful to move. But it got closer, when I looked up and the realised the beautiful sound was coming from a woman who was now stood right next to me, my first thought was to run, humans have never been kind too me. But I was too weak, so I decided to trust her. She lifted my skeletal body up and cuddled me close, wow did it feel good.
The next few days was a blur, I came to the shelter and experienced my first comfortable bed and tasty dinner, I went to the vet where they made my skin better, and I began to make friends.
I’m so friendly, one of my best friends here is a three-year-old two legged friend! I always remind myself to be gentle with her and not slobber on her too much, sometimes she reads me stories, I could sit with her for hours.
I also love playing with other dogs, of all kinds! My roommate is leaving soon and I can’t bear the thought of being without him- surely there’s someone out there for me?
We don't deserve dogs...sweet Annie lost all her babies and you can feel the sadness in her eyes..she lived in a hellhole, spending days and nights in the cold and terrified..Who knows what else she's been through...still, this video is from the FIRST TIME she meets one of our volunteers..no sign of aggression, nothing...wagging that beautiful tail, eating her breakfast and allowing us to touch her even while she eats...this girl completely stole our hearts and we know how special she is...and you know what? We are sure we will keep the promise we whispered in her ear...only love for you my love, the best days are yet to come..❤️
On Saturday night Jack once again lost his room mate 💔💔💔 Alone again, all we can do is dream that one day he won’t be left behind, ❤️
I wish we had some happy news regarding Annie but unfortunately we don’t, we’ve now lost 4 puppies, and have three beautiful boys still fighting. One is very weak so we’ve made the decision (along side the vet), to bottle feed him, as well as offering it to the other two to give them a boost. The weakest now named Dipsy (thanks to my daughter 😂🙈), has visited the vets, had X-rays and been examined- and nothing can be seen other than that he’s clearly very weak. The other two as you can see are still thriving and gobbling down Annie’s milk! So fingers crossed we can have a happy ending for the four of them! Annie herself is getting a lot stronger and trusting us more, even ventured into the garden today to say hello to the chickens (who she wasn’t fused about at all), she’s such a kind soul, who we can’t wait to show her how loving humans can be, and once her puppies are weaned and healthy (positive thinking) we will find her the most wonderful home who will love her forever like she deserves. 🫶🏻🫶🏻Annie and her babies have made it through the night 🫶🏻🫶🏻Poor girl is exhausted but she’s managed to feed them all and they’re all doing great. We’re keeping an extra eye on one as he was slightly hypothermic yesterday at the vets, but now he’s in a warm dry environment he seems to have picked up. We are going through a lot of bedding trying to get it all washed and dry- so If you can donate any duvets/ blankets please let us know! Thank you for the support as always, we really do appreciate every message! 🫶🏻

In almost 10 years of existing, we have never ever before wrote a post asking for help for a kitten!! We don't know who is the brainless, heartless human who decided it's a good idea to throw a cat at a dog shelter but thanks to the quick response of our volunteers this soul is safe! But, she is sick with FIP so she needs a foster home to recover as she has a long battle to give.. we can't think of someone who could take her in but we know there are some amazing people out there and someone will step in for little Tito. Although our experience on cats is zero we will provide everything she needs and we will stay by her side all the way to recovery so we BEG you, please help us help her!

Santa visited the shelter today after a sweet boy asked him to bring gifts to all the doggies that don't have homes.. thank you so much! ❤️
Rebelia is only a pup..Who knows what she went through and she can't trust us..she us safe now though and we will work hard to help her be happy again..
