AMIGO really needs your help!! This young boy has a life threatening heart condition and his owner just abandoned him in the shelter..he was in foster care but his mum cant keep him longer and today he's back at the shelter, trembling and not knowing what's going on.. we ARE BEGGING for a foster home with no other animals where he can be calm and warm, till we are ready for his operation...PLEASE SHARE HIM!

Look how cute mama Chica is with her babies Lilu (orange collar) and Gigi (red collar) one of our volunteers found this sweet mama with her girls a week ago and since coming to the shelter we can really see how loving Chica is, Lilu has bloomed with confidence and Gigi is still quite shy but she has shown interest in getting attention but just needs some more confidence which we are sure will come in time.
We believe that they are chihuahua mixes and will be ready for adoption after going to the vets next week which is when we will have more information on these beautiful girls ❤️

Shelter dogs carry entire stories in their eyes , chapters of uncertainty, hope, and an unbroken desire to love. Walk past their kennels and you’ll see tails thump like small drumbeats, cautious at first, then louder when they sense kindness. They don’t ask for much: a soft voice, a steady hand, a chance to belong.
Some arrived after long journeys, some after heartbreak, some because life simply shifted in ways they couldn’t control. Yet every morning, they greet the world with a resilience that feels almost magical. They learn to trust again one treat, one walk, one gentle moment at a time.
And when adoption day comes, something brightens in the room. A dog leans forward, sensing that everything is about to change. A human kneels, smiles, and suddenly two souls fit together as if they’d been searching for each other all along.
In that instant, a shelter dog becomes simply a dog with a home. A best friend. A reason to smile on quiet mornings and a warm weight resting at your feet at night.
Shelter dogs may arrive with uncertain pasts, but they carry endless love for the future and they give it freely to anyone willing to open their heart and their home.

Max has seen dogs come in scared and leave loved.
He’s seen puppies grow up, seniors find comfort.
And through it all, he stays.
He stays without bitterness, without losing the softness in his heart.

Every night, he curls up alone.
Every morning, he stands up ready to try again.
He still believes someone, somewhere, will choose him.

Max isn’t asking for much.
Just to be loved once in his life the way he has loved every person who ever paused at his kennel.
Just a warm home, a gentle hand, and the chance to finally exhale.

This boy has carried four years of waiting on his big, beautiful shoulders.
He deserves for someone to walk through the shelter doors and whisper the words he’s been longing for:
“Max… come home.”

Sometimes we are lost of words..because of acts of kindness that reach us and help us take care of our dogs! The owner of the company Cleanius recently and tragically lost his boy, THOR, so he decided to honor his memory by donating towards our dogs needs. The amount he donated, we were able to repay our vet debt, with which we were overwhelmed and discussing how to handle, especially after the two CTscans needed for Bolt and poor Castro!
So THANK YOU so much Clenius we are so sorry for your loss and so grateful for your generosity. Dogs truly teach us how to love unconditionally.

For the first two years of his life, Tom knew only the weight of a chain. Day and night, rain or shine, he stood alone not as a companion, but as a guard. Yet somehow, through all that time, his heart never hardened.
His owner rarely fed him, and Tom survived mostly on his courage and quiet will to live.

But his fate changed when 2 kind people noticed him. They couldn’t walk away. They visited him every day, bringing food and comfort, and eventually took him to the vet to make sure he finally received the care he deserved. With love and patience, they brought Tom to our shelter so he could start a new life.

Despite everything, he remains gentle…
With children, he is patient and soft, as if he understands exactly how precious they are. Around other dogs, he is friendly and calm, carrying no anger from the life he came from. His full of hope.He loves human attention, and his favorite game in the world is playing fetch with a ball.

What makes him extraordinary isn’t just his loyalty or his intelligence—it's that he still believes in love. He still wags his tail. He still trusts. He still greets the world with a heart wide open.

Now, he’s ready for the life he always deserved
a warm home, gentle hands, and a family to love with all the devotion he’s kept waiting inside him.

Castro, sweet soul,
After seven long years on this earth, your story was far from easy. You spent most of your life confined to a small cage, treated as a tool instead of the gentle, loyal heart you truly were. Yet somehow, despite everything, you held onto a quiet strength that only the bravest spirits carry.

You deserved open fields, warm hands, and soft beds. You deserved a life filled with love, not limits. And even though life didn’t give you the kindness you earned, your spirit never stopped shining. Those who met you saw the softness in your eyes — eyes that had known too much, yet still held hope.

Losing you to such a painful illness breaks our heart. A serious brain tumour took you far too soon, but it can never take away the courage you showed every day. In your final moments people who love you were by your side , you were finally seen not as a hunting tool, but as the beautiful, gentle friend you always were.

Now you are free — free from cages, free from suffering, free to run in wide, endless fields where pain cannot reach you anymore.

Castro, you were loved. You mattered. And your memory will be cherished with tenderness and respect. Your story may have begun in hardship, but it ends in peace, dignity, and love.

At the shelter since: June 5th — with zero interest
Luna is barely a year old, yet she’s already breaking under the weight of a life no dog should ever have to endure.
Since June 5th, this sweet girl has sat in a kennel watching other dogs walk out the door to forever homes… while she’s left behind, day after day, unnoticed, unwanted, and losing hope.
Luna is good with male dogs of a similar size, and in a real home she would thrive. She just needs an active, loving home willing to give her the safety and stability she’s never truly known.
But the shelter is destroying her.
Luna is so stressed and overwhelmed that she has begun to physically hurt herself trying to escape her kennel — the same kennel she’s been trapped in for months. The marks on her face aren’t from neglect or abuse outside… they’re from her desperation inside. She’s begging in the only way she knows how:
“Please… I don’t want to live like this anymore.”
Every day her spirit dims a little more. Every day she cries a little longer. Every day she becomes more terrified that this cold kennel is the only life she’ll ever know.
Luna doesn’t need perfection. She just needs someone who will love her… someone who will take her on adventures, let her run, let her breathe, let her feel safe. Someone who will show her she matters.

He loves playing with all dogs, no matter their age or size, he loves getting attention from humans, he is sweet with children, smart and eager to learn, good on the lead...
