Run free from the pains of this world my dear Felix.

Felix, my sweet boy, as I reflect, my heart aches with both love and regret. I remember the day we rescued you from that tiny cage at the GSD shelter.

From that moment, I promised you a brighter future—a forever home filled with love. But life wasn't kind to you before we met. Taken from everything familiar, you struggled to trust the world, becoming reactive and hyper vigilant in a bid to protect yourself.
But - None of it was your fault, my brave boy.

Then came the cruel grasp of leishmaniasis. The first treatment gave us hope, but the sickness returned, and the second round offered little relief. Despite our best efforts and limited resources, we couldn't heal you or fulfill the promise of a forever family. Yet, we gave you freedom—time outdoors, far from the confines of a kennel. Without us, you might not have survived this long, but I still wish we could have done more.

You have been with us since 2017..
Now over 12 years of age estimated..
While other dogs arrived and got adopted you where never anyones choice for adoption.. No matter what we tried..

On Christmas day, as you grew too weak to eat the delicious chicken breasts we prepped for you and the pain became too much, we rushed you to the vet..
Overnight your condition worstened and you had 5 siezures while in the vets care.. As we could not stand to let you suffer any longer, with no therapy in sight... we made the hardest choice—to let you run free at last. No more pain from the wretched disease that has plagued you.. My heart is broken, but I hope you feel no more pain now, my darling Felix.

Understand the responsibility that comes with bringing a dog into your life. Breeds like Malinois are intelligent, energetic working BEAUTIFUL dogs who need purpose, structure, and love.

They’re not toys or trends;
they’re living beings with feelings, needs, and so much love to give.
