Své první brouky jsem choval už jako dítě. Intenzivně jsem se jim věnoval od roku 1990, kdy jsem získal od chovatele z Belgie Dicronorrhina micans, Stephanorrhina guttata a Eudicella ducalis. A tak můžu směle říct, že jsem stál u zrodu Beetlemanie v České republice, tehdy ještě v Československu.
I kept my first beetles as a child. I have been bred them intensively since 1990 when I got Dicronorrhina micans, Stephanorrhina guttata and Eudicella ducalis from a breeder from Belgium. And so I can boldly say that I was at the birth of the Beetlemania in the Czech Republic, then in Czechoslovakia.
