Walking 5 dogs off-leash in the misty dawn is like herding fog-covered chaos. One moment, they’re majestic shadows; the next, you’re yelling into the void, hoping they haven’t joined a pack of ghost wolves.
Still, the mystery of where they went (and what they’re sniffing) keeps it interesting. Tomorrow, we’ll do it again—because apparently, sanity is overrated.

Meet Thor - a newly just arrived from Ukraine to be a part of my friends’ family. He’s the caramel Irish wolfhound on the left. Well, a mini-wolfhound. He had a long and eventful journey from being lost and homeless to Kyiv shelter to social media to Prague. He is safe now thnx to persistence of and care of .didyk 👏

So thinking about adopting a shelter dog but feeling a bit nervous? Don’t be! Even if you already have a pup at home. Especially if the dog in question is a rescue from war-torn Ukraine.

The war in Ukraine has left many dogs homeless, scared, and in need of a fresh start. Luckily, there are some amazing volunteers who’ve gone full superhero mode, rescuing these pups from danger and getting them to safety.

Getting a dog from Ukraine to Europe usually costs around 400 to 500 euros. Think of it as the pup’s all-inclusive ticket to a better life — minus the tiny airplane peanuts. And hey, if you’ve got a little extra to spare, why not throw in a donation to the volunteers and shelters? That way, they can keep playing superhero and rescuing more pups from war zones.

So, don’t be afraid to adopt a big dog with a big heart and an even bigger story. Who knows? You might just end up with a best friend who’s survived more than you ever will — and still wants belly rubs. And me - I am always happy to support you with contacts, information and advice, if you ask for it. And a free socialisation program 🎁

I have special sofa for the dogs. It’s about 7 or 8 square meters, so that all the doggos all the doggos have a cozy place to sleep. It’s finished with leather so I can easily keep the odour in order. And the rest of the hygiene too. It’s of magnificent turquoise colour, so that any dog photographed on it looks royal. It’s comes with an armchair and a foot bench for me to sit and observe my dears. Of drawbacks - the covers do not hold.

8th of March, we celebrate International Women’s Day, a time to honor the incredible achievements and rights of women worldwide – including the right to have as many furry companions as they want! Yes, it’s true - women have the unquestionable right to fill their homes with as many dogs as their hearts desire. After all, who needs a diamond ring when you can have a dozen wagging tails greeting you every day? Well, some do, not me 🐕🦮🐩🐕‍🦺🐾
And let’s not forget the right to wear leopard pants! You’ve earned the right to own your style and rock those trousers like a boss! 🐆
When it comes to matters of the heart and the drawer, women have the ultimate say 👩‍🚀👩‍⚕️👩‍🎓👩‍✈️👰‍♀️

I choose the walking packs 🐕🦮🐩🐕‍🦺carefully every time. The most important thing is safety. Dogs should be comfortable in each other’s company, otherwise there is a risk go escaping from collar/harness. So friends it is, buddies.
Further more, dogs should have around the same level of energy. The walk is not a success if ones keep sniffing and contemplating, while others keep chasing the horizon faster and faster. So pullers walk separately from sloths.
And finally, I prefer to size match. It’s just easier. However through the choices I made it’s impossible in my own pack, so I do make some exclusions, as you see 🙃

What we do with smaller dogs 🐾
Obviously, chihuahuas and griffons and bostons etc are not mixed with mastiffs and German shepherds and big retrievers etc. The laters might just step on the formers. Or wave a tail and break a small dog’s limb. So we keep them apart. Myself I mostly handle the giants while my mom is responsible for the guests under 10 kg 🪶owning herself a blind mini pug alongside with two Valkyrie-like Chinese cresteds. All those smalls reside on her bed and around, we make small houses for them, prepare soft beds for the night, let them cuddle under the duvet on the cold nights. And most importantly keep them safe!
