Not sure who needs to hear this today, but if you’re running your own business and moving forward, you are a hero.

Let’s be real—running a business is tough. It comes with its share of rewards, but it also brings a mountain of responsibilities and a whole lot of uncertainty.

Honestly, if I had known how many headaches I’d face with simple accounting and taxes here in Germany, I might have thought twice about starting my business here. I end up spending more on accounting—without ever seeing my accountant—than I do on my own salary. It’s frustrating to deal with unresolved issues and feel like there’s no real help out there. Asking for assistance often just leads to ridiculous charges, and you still don’t get the answers or tools you need.

And there’s so much more to it; this is just a tiny fragment of what I happen to be dealing with today. You know?

So, here’s the bottom line: if you’re struggling to run your small business, know that you’re not alone. We’re all in this together, and your hard work matters. Keep pushing through! You’ve got this! 🧡

Stories like this always awaken that passionate flame within me and remind me why I started the Doglyness journey in the first place: to make a difference.

For me, it has never been about money; it's always been about providing something of quality that can truly change lives for the better. What is our purpose in life if not to serve others and enrich their lives along our own path? At least, that's how I see it.

It all started with dogs, but now more and more of our human customers are reaping the benefits of the quality natural ingredients we offer. It's a joy to witness the positive impact we can have on so many lives.

Learning from Viktoria is always a pleasure and a continuous journey of growth and skill enhancement! 👌

Also, to add, Doglyness was two years old here; now we are coming to the end of year 4, and I couldn’t be prouder of what we’ve achieved so far! 💙💛

The new standard set by the French Poodle Club is quite intricate and may be perceived as confusing, necessitating thoughtful consideration and consultation. I would greatly appreciate hearing from individuals who have made significant points and alterations, as well as those who have authorized such changes, and I would also like to pose some questions. I believe that poodle breeders should strive for clarity and actively engage in opportunities such as a official live forum (not over social media) or even a consortium to understand what these changes mean and how they will impact the future of poodle breeding.
Individuals can make their points and comments, but often, this does not lead to tangible change. I am certain that over 80% of people do not even know how they feel about many of these alterations to the standard. This is what personally frightens me the most.

Your brushing technique and patience in detangling neglected coats are the first and most important steps.

The right products help, but without proper grooming experience and time investment, they can’t save your coat.

Learn to FEEL the coat, recognize the right timing for brushing, and avoid over-drying. 🐩
+ do not forget about more frequent sc******ng ✂️ Sc******ng recovers and strengthens the coat.
(For poodles, more wet brushing and less dry brushing works best.) 💧🌀

Doglyness Products and tools used here:
➡️ LEVEL UP Leave-In Cream for heavy detangling
➡️ SPRAY ALL DAY for light detangling after washing
➡️ IMMORTELLE Rejuvenating Line for extra moisture
➡️ Bursta 33 pin brush for wet brushing
➡️ Bursta 8 pin brush for prewash detangling and drying

A mom shared her story with me, and I’m incredibly happy that our Doglyness products not only help dogs but also children and adults. I am planning to share more stories like these as I see how they can help bring about positive changes in lives, especially for children at sensitive ages and groomers who struggle with cracked hands.

Her 14-year-old had severe seborrhea, and after trying everything, nothing worked.

“The dermatologist prescribed corticosteroids and aggressive shampoos that slightly reduced the inflammation, but didn't help... The most expensive creams, herbal ones from a herbalist... After 2 and a half months, the Doglyness Oats line 🙏💖 We have tried everything for seborrhea for my 14-year-old son.”

When you discover that something that resonates deep within you, that’s when magic happens. For me, Doglyness wasn’t just a project; it was a calling, a love story in motion. Every moment spent doing what felt right was a step closer to my true self. Everything starts with passion, and it’s not just a feeling; it’s a way of life. And it happens naturally. You embrace it, nurture it, and let it guide you to places you never thought possible.

For me, Doglyness wasn’t just a business, and I was never motivated by chasing money; it was a journey of self-discovery, a testament to the power of following your heart. That’s why I believe it managed to survive and grow. I can only encourage you to relax and allow your passion to be the fire that lights your path and the compass that leads you home.

Dare to dream, dare to believe, and witness how your passion paints the world in colors you never imagined possible. 🧡

Let's talk about the soaking method using our Doglyness shampoo and conditioner and all the benefits that come from it. Please join our Doglyness Family group for more daily tips about the proper coat care and what products to use.👌

The soaking method is beneficial for the skin and coat because it allows the active ingredients in the shampoo and conditioner to work effectively without the need for vigorous motions. By having the dog lie down in a bathtub with shampoo for 10 minutes, it helps clear the coat of any buildup or excess product that may have been used previously. The active ingredients in the products work efficiently on their own during this soaking process, eliminating the need for additional scrubbing or rubbing. The water turning various shades of gray indicates the removal of dirt and impurities, leaving the skin and coat feeling clean and refreshed. Following up with a similar soaking process using conditioner further nourishes and improves the condition of the coat. This method can be gentle yet thorough, promoting a healthy skin and coat for your dog.

The most common question I receive about my soaking method is how much shampoo/conditioner I use.

I use the same amount as usual, but I froth it and add it to the small tub that already has water in it. Occasionally, I add a tiny bit more of the shampoo (frothed) on the head and neck; the rest of the body remains in water for cca 10 minutes. After a minute, you can already see dirt melting and the water turning various shades of gray. They feel so clean afterward.

The same goes for conditioner.

The products are highly effective on their own, saving you energy. I usually enjoy my coffee in peace while they work their magic in the tub. 😅

P.S. If your dog is not used to relaxing on their own, give them some time to unwind and start to enjoy the process. It may take 2-3 times, but once they realize how relaxing it can be, they will happily give in.

Moving to Croatia has not been an easy decision, and I have not shared this with many people. However, I have been planning this move for a couple of years now. It feels like a new beginning for me, going on this journey alone with my three dogs, my plants, a few suitcases... I would lie if I said that I am completely at ease; I am about to see how this decision will truly impact me. Yet, I have learned that courage brings great rewards.

I must mention that over the years, I have built a remarkable Doglyness team that supports me in running the business 🙏, for which I'm super grateful, giving me the opportunity to finally breathe. I view this as a significant step forward that will continue to bring forth amazing things. Nine years ago, I arrived in Germany without knowing a single word of German, leaving everything I had in Croatia behind.

Running a business in Germany has become unsustainable for many, including myself. I find myself constantly paying for things (some I do not even fully understand) and taxes that devour whatever remains. The last 5 years I've spent working almost without a break, working all day every day; it became normal yet unhealthy in many ways. With this move, I hope that my life will no longer revolve solely around work, allowing me more time for my friends and family who are mostly in Croatia.
Life in Croatia still offers a sense of existence unlike in Germany, where one works merely to survive. The people there are not really happy and content in my opinion, and from my conversations, it seems that many desire to leave as well. Germany does not show kindness and support to its own citizens, and the pressure on the average person is a heavy burden. If Germany continues to push politics that prioritize others over its own people and those who contribute to the state financially, I do not see a bright future for the country.

However, it is not all black. Germany has instilled in me discipline and a strong work ethic. It has made me more responsible and has enlightened me to the fact that achieving your dreams requires hard work. Life does not offer easy paths, especially in a foreign land where one must fight twice as hard. Germany has also gifted me with a beautiful routine, surrounded by mountains unlike anywhere else I have lived. The beauty and freedom that a mountain provides are unparalleled, offering me endless inspiration for my ideas and projects. I will miss this aspect the most.

While Doglyness will continue to operate from Germany and around the world with its international team, I will be operating from Croatia. I look at this new chapter in life with gratitude, hoping & believing it will be truly amazing. May God bless this new beginning! 🙏

Who make each day a dream come through.

And every moment is painted in orange hues.

For in their presence, heart in hand,
Life’s most beautiful days are planned. 🧡

🫶 Please use your common sense before following any coat care methods you find here on social media. What works for some might not work for you, and that’s a fact. Like with food, shampoos, brushes, etc. It doesn’t mean that particular method isn’t good or effective, or better or worse. It depends on your dog, you and your skills and so many other factors.

My dogs are very well known for their massive coats, and that I barely brush them, washing and grooming them maybe once every 4-5 weeks, if not longer.
It wasn’t always like this; I used to think I had to wash & groom them every week to grow show coat, which is a MYTH.
Now, I don’t have as much time for grooming as I did before, yet their coats haven’t suffered—quite the opposite, they have never been stronger. However, when I do groom them, I do it immaculately, without errors, and I focus on every hair strand. I use methods I have found useful through hours of practice in the past and learning on my own. (And watching other groomers, trying their methods and taking what works for me!!!)

So, I will once again talk about different hair protection methods such as banding, wrapping, or braiding, and share what my favorites are. Please remember that some show people don’t use any of these methods and still manage to grow massive coats. Everyone smart will follow what works for them. There is no right or wrong if your ultimate goal is to grow beautiful, healthy, and top-notch show hair on poodles.

Whether you want to band your dog's hair, wrap it, or braid it – you know your dog best and understand how they will respond. If your dog doesn’t tolerate any of these methods, they might rub their head, causing friction, matting, tangling, or even more significant damage. The way you perform these methods and how neat you are also plays a role.

Every hair strand that is protected, whether in a band, wrap, or braid, is better protected, allowing the hair to grow more healthily by keeping the moisture in and reducing friction. That’s a fact. However, I wouldn’t put braids on any of my dogs if they are constantly trying to undo them – not because braiding, banding, or wrapping doesn't protect the hair, but because it might be counterproductive if the dog is uncomfortable with it.

My personal favorite has always been wrapping, though I've tried something new with braids. This isn’t something I do regularly, actually it was my first time. And it’s a day 3 and perfectly in place still. Personally, I braid my hair every night before bed, and it stays long, strong, and healthy, keeping my hair in place while I sleep.

For my dogs, I usually either wrap or band their hair, and it remains knot-free and undamaged for 3-5 weeks without brushing in between.

Please use common sense when making decisions about your dog’s hair and observe how they react. You don’t need others to tell you what’s best; you need to understand what’s best for you and your dog. You will find the method that works for you, but also respect that others may use different methods and still manage to grow a significant amount of hair. Some may use dishwashing detergent works perfectly well for their poodles, while others may use hair protective methods you don’t prefer and find success in them. And that’s okay! 😉

Peace & Love from Coolpoodles 🧡🐩

All the questions are welcome on this thread, too!

Every day, I am moved by the stories people share about how our products have helped their hands and clients and healed their pets' skin, so I understand the importance of making Doglyness accessible to more dogs and groomers. Trying something new and want to share a couple of tips on why hair braiding offers several benefits for both hair and animal coats, contributing to their health and protection. Here are some key reasons:

1. REDUCES TANGLES AND KNOTS: Braiding helps to keep hair strands or fur in place, which minimizes tangling and knot formation. This is particularly useful for long hair or coats that are prone to matting.

2. PROTECTS AGAINST ENVIRONMENTAL DAMAGE: Braids protect hair from environmental factors like wind, sun, and pollution. By reducing the exposure of hair strands to these elements, braiding can help prevent dryness, split ends, and other forms of damage.

3. MINIMIZED DAMAGE: Loose hair can easily get caught on objects or rub against clothing, leading to breakage. Braiding secures the hair, reducing the likelihood of breakage and promoting overall hair health.

4. RETAINS MOISTURE: Braiding can help retain moisture in the hair by locking it in, which is particularly beneficial for dry or brittle hair. This helps maintain the hair’s natural shine and elasticity.

5. ENCOURAGE GROWTH: By minimizing breakage and maintaining moisture, braiding can indirectly encourage hair growth. Healthy hair that doesn’t break easily is more likely to grow long and strong.

6. REDUCED FRICTION: For animals, braiding the coat can reduce friction and irritation from collars, harnesses, or other gear, which can prevent hair loss and skin issues.

7. COAT STAYS CLEAN FOR LONGER: Braided hair tends to stay cleaner longer because the strands are less exposed to dirt and oils. This can reduce the need for frequent washing, which can sometimes strip hair of its natural oils.

In conclusion, braiding is an effective way to maintain the health and appearance of hair (or animal coats) by reducing damage, retaining moisture, and simplifying grooming routines.
🤌🐩

P.S.: To braid easily and without hair flying around, I used a tiny mist of Doglyness Coat Therapy Oil. It works wonders for braiding, banding, and wrapping.

Summer came early this year for us ☀️🌊🐩💕.

I don’t know about you, but July and August aren’t fun anymore with unbearable heat and tourists everywhere you turn. Especially when you take your dogs on all your vacations. Maybe I’m getting old or more picky, but summers in Europe, especially on the coastlines, aren’t enjoyable anymore for me. This little spontaneous trip to Croatia was the best decision to take a break and enjoy pleasant temperatures with fewer tourists around. I was especially happy for Ryan, who saw the sea for the first time. I guess I’m a real dog mom 💕.
