Enjoying the last rays of sun, lying in the grass, and... watching the dog eat grass?🌿🤨 If you're now doubting whether you've really adopted a dog and not a cow, you can breathe a sigh of relief!🐄😮‍💨

If your beloved pet indulges in a few blades of grass as a snack, there's no need to worry!😇 This behavior can have several causes and doesn't automatically indicate an illness. It could simply be that your dog likes the taste or is keeping themselves busy when they're feeling a bit bored.🥱 So, take a deep breath for now!😮‍💨

However, if this behavior occurs frequently, it could indeed be an early sign that something might not be quite right in your dog's body!🥺

Firstly, increased grass consumption can point to digestive issues. Dogs are quite selective about the types of grass they need to help them eliminate something that might be bothering their stomach. Has your dog eaten something they shouldn't have, or are they having trouble with their bowel movement? Eating some grass can help with these issue and might assist your dog in vomiting or passing their stool!🤢💩

Eating grass can also be an early sign of stomach discomfort. It's believed that certain types of grass can help soothe minor abdominal discomfort. The specific type and appearance of the grass can actually matter in this regard.🌿🌱
