Happy birthday Marley! 🎉

9 years already, but still healthy and happy as if he hadn't aged during the last years. He still looks like he was 4 and it seems like he also feels like that, lol. Time flies so fast, hope we can spend another couple of years together the way we spent the last ones with lots of action an fun!

Beautiful Lad

Lad can be a really nice workdog when he gets enough work. He's always a bit overexcited, when he didn't have an outlet for his energy on stock for a day or more. It feels like pushing the breaks all the time, but I can see loads of talent in him, which is good. When he settles a bit as he gets older he will be a fun one for sure!

Reiver Kilda

At the moment we're focusing on the basics to build her confidence and make her understand what the task I want her to do is. As soon as she's ready we will start with the more complicated stuff, like outruns, driving or shedding. There's no need to rush her.

Did I forget to share this gorgeous picture of Marley with you? - Yes!

This is him, stalking sheep in scotland in July. Sadly we didn't perform too well in the only trial we started, but we visited the trials of Bute and it was a joy to watch all these handlers and dogs in this competition. It was so well organised, if I didn't live that far away I'd sign up for next year's trials for sure! These trials are definitively worth a visit for everyone who loves sheepdogs!

It's finally time to introduce the new member of the pack: Kilda

Kilda is a little bitch we imported from Scotland this summer. She's bred by Reiver Gray x Tess and combines some fantastic lines in her pedigree. She's doing well on sheep and I'm looking forward to train her more!

Rey (Marley x Teddy) hat sich am Sonntag auf der internationalen Hundeausstellung in Offenburg einen großartigen 3. Platz (V3) ergattert! Eine großartige Leistung von ihr und Cathrin Ziebart, Glückwunsch ihr zwei. :D

In january Marley spent a week in Ireland and we did a few long outruns for training reasons. Marley loved that! He did so well fetching the sheep from where I couldn't see them. The first part of the fetch was out of sight, too. Only when they passed the post in the middle of the field there was a chance to see the sheep, not necessarily the dog.

Marley was on vacation in Ireland in January and did practice some ~300m outruns on a challenging field. He truely loved it! This is 10 minutes of Marley wor...

Today Lad passed the FCI herding working test! What a good boy being only 12 months old. He's still a puppy though and needs some time to mature.

And also we finally have some first pictures of Lad (Marley x Zora) working sheep! He's still a young boy, but he's doing well and we already started with his first ever drive last weekend, since he offered it. He already has a good lie down, which is a command he actually should not listen to at all. Somehow he must have picked it up from Marley when I used him as a helping dog. Lad is a really clever pup and easy to train with some obedience I've never insisted on and that I didn't expect at that point either.

Lad on his way to stalk the ducks in our backyard.

During the last months we moved to a new flat, which is basically my old one in my parents house. We have a huge yard there although it's in the city, not too far from the center and not too far from the forest. The dogs love to play outside all day long, especially in she summer. On top it gives us the huge advantage, that we don't have to bring the dogs to my parents in the morning and pick them up after work, as we're already there. We're still waiting for the bed and the rest of the bedroom furniture, which should have arrived already months ago. Let's hope we can finally complete moving when all the stuff is going to be delivered until end of September.
