In this video you can see where ideally his/her head position should be.
Shoulders next to your knee and head turned towards you just a little bit ahead.
Ideally your dog should not break the stare and trust you to lead the way.

Alright, since the next training session with the puppy is on the weekend, I figured I might show what we are aiming for.
These are just a couple of short clips from one of our training sessions.
Since I live in Germany, I use German commands. For anyone who might be interested, the commands are:
Fuß -> Heel
Sitz -> Sit
Platz -> Down
Aus -> Off
Bleib -> Stay

I rarely use the command „Bleib“ because when I say Sitz or Platz, that automatically means also „Bleib“ until I release you.
