In Loving Memory of Collin-Ari Odin d Minurky.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved companion, Odin, who brought immense joy and love into our lives for over 10 years. Odin departed from this world on July, 9th. 2024 leaving behind a legacy of cherished memories and unwavering devotion - and 64 living born puppies.

He was suffering from incurable cancer.

Odin was more than just a pet; he was a member of our family, a faithful friend who greeted us with boundless enthusiasm and a wagging tail every day.

Through the years, Odin shared in our joys and sorrows, offering comfort during difficult times and celebrating with us during moments of happiness and proudness. He won several exhibitions in both domestically and abroad with Peter.

Rest in peace, dear Odin. Run free over the rainbow bridge, where you will forever be surrounded by love and joy. You will be deeply missed and never forgotten.

Back in 2016 I participated in the dog-show in Aarau Switzerland as the only dog from my race. The judges had never seen a chodsky pes before, and the were very pleased.

The Chodsky Pes is an old breed, with roots dating all the way back to the year 1325, when the first written evidence of the Chodsko people comes from when King Jan of Luxemburg was on the throne. Already here the dog breed "Chodský" is described.

The Czechs write about their race that right up until the 12th century the border between the Czech Republic and Germany (Bohemia and Bavaria) was guarded by the Chodsko people and their dogs. It was the only way for the traders to import and export their goods. The Chodsko people were responsible for protecting this border and could therefore enjoy certain privileges from the king. The border was protected in this way until 1620.

The dogs were made immortal in the form of sketches, figures and the like, but the breeding work ceased and it was not until 1984 that the breed was recreated with a pedigree. Here is Bessy from 1986 - one of the first CP

Has been bred in a closed pedigree since 28 October 1984 under CMKU (Czech Kennel Club).
