She's gone

This is the hard reality and why I had to make the Choice
Right after I take of the leash her hindleg collapse
Unfortunately they are even worse today and there's a good chance I have to call to vet today again
She is happy when we're home and still goofy but she's also marred by this

Unfortunately vanilla took a turn for the worse
Her legs can barely hold her
The vet wanted to give me some final days with her, and Tuesday will be our last day together
I'm gutted

A friend got a bit nervous when she read the vet comment
So I will get you a better explanation 😊
Her old allergy medicine attacked her liver. She has been weaned of it and will get a shot instead to make sure she doesn't lick her paws bloody
The other is a monthly pain relief for her arthritis
Her hind legs aren't very strong because of her arthritis, but she is still my happy girl
I am working closely with my new vet, to make sure she is okay and doesn't suffer unnecessarily
I don't believe in putting a dog down just because it's inconvenient or expensive as long as vanilla is happy, she will be here ❤️

We've had a couple of rough days, and time is slowly running out. Thankfully it's slowly, and we enjoy each other's company ❤️🐶
The 11th we're to visit our new vet and say hello😊

Somerimes you have to change things. And I changed vet.
The new one, is a very sweet competent lady, who also do homevisits
Yes it's expensive, but absolutely worth it. For the 1st time vanilla wasn't afraid
While we can't do anything to change her liver condition or her arthritis, we CAN give her better medicine, that won't harm. And yes. It's expensive, but vanilla is worth every krone extra ❤️🐶
She still has mischief and love to give and her soul burn bright ❤️
And it will continue to do that a while ❤️

I don't like fireworks
I don't understand why people has a need for it. It's not just 1 night. It's through all of December and some of November. It's often in daytime and even when it rains. Times when you can't really see anything and of course there's those that just go boom.
They all scare me
And not just me. Other animals too and let's not forget all the veterans with PTSD. Or ordinary people like mum
I don't like fireworks

Vanilla is unfortunately not getting better. The vet can do no more, and while she is still here, I will cherish her and love her, like I've always done
I will continue to tell about her days, that, as always, is filled with with snuggles, love and hugs
This is a very hard update to write, but she is still here and still loved
Right till the end ❤️

Soooo many good sniffies 🐶
We had to make our walk short because humans has thrown a looooot of salt on pavement. It hurt my paws 😔 but mum knows the area, and found a green place just for me 🐶

Wuhu.. I've gone without treats since I got sick, and because I couldn't have the same treats anymore, mum, just today, bought some to dogs with liver problems

Still getting better 🐶
I can know go on a walkie 1 time a day and 4 to 5 times a day mum takes me up to a small green place across from us, where I can run around and stretch my muscles.... We often play tag 🐶 mum says it's important I move all my muscles

Medicin is starting to work and mum also bought food especially for liver problems
Of course snuggles is part of the treatment 🐶

Once again a trip to the vet. I had trouble walking, my tummy was hard and I was on the diet of rice and chicken
We visited vet Wednesday
And we visited again today
After xrays where the result wasn't satisfiyng vet took a bloodsample bloodsample.
we finally got a result
Unfortunately my liver isn't working properly
This means I'm on a medication to help with that, and I need a special feed, for liver problems
I also have arthritis, and is being given help to that
Right now, I'm trying to get better with a lot of love from mum and my friend Frede

My tummy is upset, and we had to go the vet.
Not my happy place!!!
I'm eating a very good food
Chicken, rice or cod and rice. All homemade ❤️🐶 Nomnomnom
Since I'm eating and drinking, and got some medicine also, it should be better ❤️

*grumble grumble* it's raining cats and dogs out there *grumble* rain.. Meh
*perking up* on the other hand, this means treats, snuggles and more spoiling, because mum feels sorry for me 🐶

Not 1 but 2!!! Cooling mats ❤️🐶
Not only do I have those but I also got my very own fan...😍🐶
Oh and I also get some watermelon at times😁🐕
The mats are 40x60 so I have room. My old one was much smaller. I'm so lucky 🍀🐕
