Lykkegård Kennels Contact point for our dogs, and puppies they have had. For News, Photos and Updates. When we moved to Denmark, we brought over our Working Cocker Spaniels.

Known as Field Trials Spaniels, in other parts of the world. Our dogs are from good strong English (and Welsh) bloodlines, bred by Peter Avery (Deepfleet Kennels) and a Spaniel Field Trials Judge (Roger Button). They are strong, fast, and very intelligent, strong hunting and retrieving instincts, and very 'bid-able' (will do anything to make you happy). They are very focussed, will go through the

thickest of cover. Our Dogs are;
Teddy - Lykkegård Pecan Willow, male, Red and white. Marmite - Marvellous Marmite, female, Black and Tan. Fozzy - Black

A bit of luck today at the Mid Sussex Working Spaniel Club Open Qualifying Stake held at the lovely Surrey estate of Sir Rocco Forte. FTCH Shiveck Beretta of Deepfleet (Tess) aged 4 won her fourth open stake first time out this season. The head keeper Kyle put on a first class trial in classic mature woodland. The ground cover was tough bramble but absolutely full of game. The fact the trial was completed at 12.15pm was evidence of the abundant game supply. I have won this stake a number of times over the years but having won it previously with Tess’s grandmother was an added pleasure. In the first four places of todays trial were three dogs bred by Terri Siwek out of her prolific dam FTCH Surefly Sassy and sired by my own FTCH Deepfleet Van Persie. The hospitality and organisation of the MSWSC and new field trial secretary Debbie was first class.

A study of dog DNA patterns shows that our "best friend" among animals is also our oldest one.
