My Story

From a young child I was obsessed by cats! Having my first pet cat “Honey” at age 5, I was hooked! Cats were and are everything to me, from my best friend to my hot water bottle at night to my listening ear and comfort on a grey day... There’s no animal I understand better or understands me better than a cat! I have never been without a cat in my life, and more often than not having 4 at a time, my decisions on where to live, how safe it was for my cats and whether the there are good sun spots for them and cosy places to retreat to has always been paramount, I have always put my cats first in my lifes decisions....It made purrfect sense to me to work with cats following working in vets and for cat shelters rescues in London UK..

I started Catcareathome in 1993 in NORTH LONDON UK and was there for 18 years, then in Surrey and then East Sussex and then Spain! I have worked with cats professionally for over 25 years and have experience in Cat grooming, Cat care, vet nurse, catsitting, Cat Hotel home from home care, Bach flower remedies for Cats, behaviour diplomas, nutrition and Pet first aid.
