The lower pens now have a roof so more shade and light from the opened up space. Next month (money permitting) the loose paint will be removed and repainted, although up here with the wind and the sun it is a constant battle.

First guests after the lockdown, oddly enough the last to leave when we first locked down. Love these guys. Kindle and Bear. Kindle has the premier suite which is available for spoilt moggies. There is a play station and lots of extra space. Bear likes it a little calmer and has a double pen next door.

Lid going on the cattery. Rather than thrown away the boards from the old pens we have used them to put a solid roof over the pens, this will give shade and protection.

The cattery has been under going a makeover. After being closed for 5 months, the corner pens I never used have been removed making a washing area, this has had the added advantage of making the pens lighter. A wall and gate will separate it from my terrace and keep the dogs out. We are putting a new roof over all the pens to give more shade in the day and more security from the feral cats who pass over the rooves. First clients after lock down arrive next week and I already have bookings for August. I have lost a pen with the er****on of the wall so I now have 8 pens 5 double pens, 2 single ones and the large pen for families, so booking is advisable especially at peak times. Looking forward to a new start.

View of the pens. Each pen is a good size including the single pens, if I dont have cat families in my guests get a double room. Each pen has a warm indoor area with a shelf so they are up off the floor. They have an outside sun shelf so they can enjoy the nice weather and view. The pens also have a scratching post which get used a lot. My house is alongside but away from my dogs who have their own garden and terrace away from the cattery which is seperated by gates, the pens themselves are protected by a safety passageway in case of escapees when pen doors are opened. My whole house benefits from CCTV and electric gates so guests are completely safe from outside interference. I find that having a safe inside area is fantastic for nervous cats who tend to prefer coming out onto their terraces at night. 15 years experience caring for cats on the island, experienced with all forms of transport arrangements and known to several reputable vets on the Island. Leave your furry family in a place that you can trust with years of experience. Booking recommended.

George went home yesterday an old hand at staying here always a lovely boy. Lucy is going on an adventure she is flying to the UK and was rescued off the streets of Costa Teguise, she is slowly coming round to like me and this morning came to me when I called her new name demanding I we t in to say hello.
