🇪🇸 Saturday 12th October ~ Feliz día nacional de España 🥳

That means throughout this weekend, especially this evening there will be a lot of fireworks and bangers being set off.
Here’s just a few tips to keep your babies safe…

1. Try and walk your dogs during the day and in daylight, and not this evening. For risk of fireworks being set off and your dog being stressed and then making walks a traumatic experience
2. Try and walk your dog with a doggy friend who is calm and non-reactive to fireworks
3. Keep windows and doors closed, and even shutters, to muffle the sounds
4. Play relaxing music but with a ‘beat’… unfortunately classical music just won’t cut through the bangs.
5. Lots of positive reinforcement and cuddles but don’t over do it… don’t ’make a big deal’, just a quick good boy/girl and a treat.
6. Lots of fresh water available
7. If you pet is severely stressed or scared then do not leave them home alone.
8. Finally, always seek veterinary care if your dog is showing signs of deep distress like excessive panting, pacing up and down, foaming at the mouth

It is - wowwweeee where has that year gone?!

So here's the back story for you and why I created this UK national awareness day, in short...lockdown! That monumental life changing event when we donned our crazy PPE, closed our doors 💔 and wondered what on earth was going to happen to our dog hair dreams. Many of you know, I'm not really one to sit back and put my feet up, I went online. I did as much as could to keep in touch with my clients, to do zooms, brushing guides, nail trimming advice a cheeky quiz and an online dog show!

I really, really missed my clients, furry as well as human! That human/dog interaction is just so important, but we still maintained as much interaction as we could and in a period where everyone was very vulnerable we still had the love of our dogs and fun amongst the carnage.

It was when we reopened our lovely clients said 'oh we've missed you' 'it's harder than it looks' 'have him back I never want to groom him again in my life' 'You're open again, we love you!' and that's really how this day came to fruition.

It's been quite a challenge getting the date right, the first year my daughter was due so it was very up in the air, then the following year we were postponed due to the passing of Queen Elizabeth, but last year it was a huge hit, getting shared all across the globe.

So this day is there for groomers and guardians alike to share the love, get involved share pictures of your dog and lets have some fun! And even better, if you don't get chance to get involved there's an International Pet Groomer Appreciation Day on November 1st, so there's two opportunities to celebrate us!

Thank you to all my loyal clients for keeping me so busy, September is now fully booked.
In order for me to keep focused on my existing clientele, I have taken the decision to temporarily close my books and will not be accepting new clients.

However, we do have a waitlist, so please feel free to contact us if you would like to be added to it.

Two very busy days fitting in the remaining pooches for their pampers before my vacay!
…Well I say vacay but only back to England! 😂I am looking forward to some cooler weather though 🙈

The salon is now closed. Enquiries will be dealt with upon my return. We will reopen after some well needed R&R on Monday 2nd September!
