This #dalmatian didn't want to give, ran away with all toys, clenched his jaw together... until he met me 😜
Playing #tugofwar with your dog is a fun and very energetic play. I use it to teach dogs #communicationskills
They learn to ask for a playtime, tug, let go, give in my palm, fetch, paw and a lot of other cool stuff. Having to give up your favorite #toy all the time isn't any fun especially if it also means doing chores like sit, lay down or stay and wait and the most boring one being fooled by a pretend throw!!! So be sure if you want to teach your dog to give do it in a fun manner.
A fun game can teach a dog to enjoy interacting with you BUT ONLY if you leave out those boring obedience commands once in a while.
Really people how often do you ask your dog to sit and stay in an energetic game? It is A MOOD KILLER. Enjoy the game and relax on the commands. Enjoy your day and PLAY with your dog!!

Howling at the old guy... again! This time for eating the food she didn't want and for not wanting to play with her when she wanted to. It actually started with howling at my kids for not sharing their biscuits. Howling isn't getting her far, she still tries again and again. #bloodhoundsofinstagram #bloodhoundpuppy #k9_kristin
NEW SMELL!! What is that? Curious #bloodhoundpuppy taking the morning stroll.
When walking in a new area, discovering new scents the #dog is in its elements. But boy did the containers smell horribly in the heat. 😩 How ever when you find a toy you soon forget the bad odor 😂
Remember: always be careful with cigarette buds, boxes and everything that contains or might contain nicotine!! It is highly poisonous for dogs.

"I am not stressed! Why would you say such a thing?"
Walking on leash in a stressful environment is not easy and it isn't good for any dog.. or the owner. First thing first, we are going to back up a bit and focus on the lead pulling and strengthen the communication while on walk and once we are more confident we will return to the more difficult environments. This puppy is only going to become stronger in the next few months but we are going to use it in our advantage and get him on board with us. Good Times ahead. #k9_kristin #boxer #leashtraining #dogtrainer #dogsonleash #k9_kristin_dogtrainer
BALANCE and how dogs use behavior to AFFECT our emotions
This is Floki, Golden Retriever, 6 years old. He loved his family more than anything. He wasn´t allowed on the sofa but just seconds before this video was recorded the babies were fighting and being loud. With his tranquil manner Floki lifted himself on to the couch to reach over the girls and laid his head calmly on top of the older one (who was the one starting the argument by teasing the younger one). Flokis feet are still on the ground. Now the house is quiet again and everybody calm.
Dogs don´t like excitement. If their groups feelings and emotions are balanced they are happy and tranquil. Emotions are like a lifeline it should be flat in the middle, all excitement whether it´s crying or arguing (pulling the line down) - or happy excited emotions (pulling the line upwards) and according to dogs putting us in an imbalance. It´s their instinct that the group needs to be in balance to cope with any sudden situation we come across in life. A balanced person (and a balanced dog) is more successful in life, more likely to make the right decisions and better able to solve different problems. So they instantly try to pull us towards the middle again, balance us out. An unhappy person can get hugs a and kisses from his dog to cheer him/her up or the dog could bring a toy/his leash and wiggle that happy tail to make you laugh. Pulling you up and away from whats holding your mood down. Happy, laughing, teasing, hysterical laughs are often met by super calm dogs, trying to slow things down, walking in front of a running person or trying to crawl up or lay down on her if that´s - anything to weigh her down.
Young dogs who don´t know how to express their feelings and take control of the situation but feel an urge to do so, very often start humping someone. It´s their inability to understand the stress they are experiencing and how to deal with it. So you´ll have two puppies play fighting and the third
