Malinois Rehoming - Malaga This page is to promote Malinois and other breed needing rehoming. I am based in Alhaurin el Grand My name is Inez Robinson.

I have been involved in dog rescue since 2012. In 2021 I took in my first own funded dog to be rehomed - from then many more have been successfully rehomed in Spain and overseas

Although mostly self funded, I’ve set up a donation page on my website www.malagadogrehoming.com to help me help more dogs. I make unique no pull no escape ergonomic dog harnesses and ship them worldwide. The sales also help me to help my rescue dogs

Sasha is a Malinois X gsd. I first met her over a year ago when she came to the kennels, found as a young puppy.

She was very nervous but started to improve with walks out.

Her rescuers Los perritos del Higueron took her to their shelter where she has been. They've been working with her and she's turned into such a sweet girl. Still a bit timid.

She's now 2 years old, vaccinated and spayed. She's looking for her forever home.

Located Málaga area but can travel.

Maly, such a sweet natured female malinois.

Small, a pocket rocket and loved by everyone. Quite a sad story.

Shes been used and abused for breeding but then taken away from her situation by a lovely lady. Maly went into foster and was there for a year and a half, enjoying a warm home, bed, good food - and then the landlord asked for the animals to leave :(

Maly has ended up in kennels not knowing why and what shes done.

She adores a ball. She has plenty of life in her and is aged around 7. Totally healthy, and is very well behaved. She doesnt chew anything and rests.

Totally fine with other dogs although we feel a very dominant female might cause issues. She walks brilliantly on the collar and lead and ignores cats.

She is located in alhaurin el grande but can travel. No adoption fee but homecheck will be expected.

Apollo had a home, and an owner who cared for him. Trained him. Then his owner took him to kennels for a holiday, and didnt return.

Apollo was sent to the municipal pound and was there for over a year, stressing and losing more weight.

A local rescue took pity on him and took him from the pound, but only into her outside kennels and run.

Recently a lovely couple have stepped up to foster Apollo- he is still looking for his forever home, his foster is for 3 months and then he will have to come back to the shelter and be outside again.

Let’s see if we can stop that happening.
His wish list:
NO CATS OR SMALL FURRIES!
Needs an active home, preferably with gsd or mali experience but not a deal breaker. He is very well trained but does need brainwork - once he decompresses and trusts you are his final home, he will be calmer.
No kennels, he hates them and he gets really stressed.
He can work, he is very ball focused and has basic training already. He enjoys having something to do.
Needs to have people around most of the time. Can be left for short periods.
Good in the car.
Please share so we can find his family before his foster is up 🤞

Apollo is located in Alhaurin el Grande, Malaga but can travel.

Our beloved Spirit, 11 years ago we came and got you from the pound, at the time there was a kill list - not any more - and you were 24 hours from no longer being on this earth, your only fault was to be in the ownership of an uncaring human.

We think you had been used for breeding as you came in with a male Goldie, he was adopted fast, you only had 7 days as your owner had you fast tracked to death!

On seeing your picture the day before, Pat Robinson said - we cant let that happen, we will have her!

We raced down there first thing and got you.

You were our No3, since them a few more have come and stayed, sadly a few have passed on, and the fosters all got homed.

Youre now 16 years young.Maybe 17. We dont know, but youre not less than that.

A few months ago we thought we were losing you. Dementia had set in. You could hardly sit down or get up, hearing gone, eyesight going and lods of growths showing.

Look at you now.

If theres something more that Im truly grateful for, its these magic fix all patches. Its improved your quality of life with no medication and theres no price I can put on that.

I hope with my heart you will be with us a while longer, but we are taking each day as we find it.

To our imposter, much loved.

Happy Gotcha Day

Adina! OMG.

When I took her out of the pound in 2021, her nails were very long. We suspected leishmania, but her snap test and her laboratory blood tests showed negative. The vet wasnt convinced and so she asked the lab to retest. Again, negative.

I then noticed deep open sores on the base of 3 of her paws, on the back leg of the one good paw, and sores on her elbows! I thought they were from her being kept in a metal cage with wire floor. Vet said no, its signs of an autoimmune disease, but no idea which.

To find out is expensive tests and then the only protocol is cycling with steroids and antibiotics - which would destroy her system over time.

She wasnt really adoptable like that so she came home with us and is ours. Over the years I have tried everything out there naturally. Nothing has worked. so it was a case of just leaving her as she is, shes happy. She wouldnt leave the house much as it was painful for her to walk. She would leave dabs of blood and pus wherever she went so thick washable covers for the sofas and beds was necessary, and many bed linens ended up being thrown.

She wouldnt come on the field with us.

in Feb I started to patch her with the healing patch and then added the anti inflammatory one. Occasionally she gets a new patch but mostly its our second hand ones.

The worst and deepest sore swelled right up, a great sign of it working, then went back down and daily the difference has been incredible.

The smaller ones have filled out and are closed. The worst one is almost fixed as you can see by the pictures. She now runs out with the others with a proper run, no hobbling or limping. Shes barked for the first time since we had her. Shes jumped up and put her front paws on me - she couldnt do that before due to the pain. She sits, again could do that before. She now comes on the field with the others and theres no dabs of blood or pus at all.

Her skin is loads better too, no little scabs and her mood is improved. She so happy :)

Her quality of life has greatly improved and continues to do so.

Ive had amazing results on our older girl Spirit too showing signs of aging at 16 - dementia has gone, hips are loads better, vision improved, hearing improved, lumps and bumps have mostly gone and an eye tumur has nearly gone. No medical intervention and so so happy also :)

***HOMED***

Still desperately seeking a quiet retirement home for these two smallies. Both 12. The white and tan female is spayed. The boy is entire, but sleeps all the time.

Both are chipped and up to date on vaccinations, flea and tick treatment and wormers.

The girl can be a bot nervous until she accepts you but isnt aggressive or nippy. They sleep together in the same small bed.

Owner is immobile and is returning to the UK this sunday and I need to find a place for them on saturday.

These two would not do well in kennels and certainly not a busy noisy crowded rescue.

They would be fine with other small relatively quiet dogs. No idea re cats.

Can anyone offer respite? Even if it was until a final home was found although I cant guarantee how long that would take.

Theyre both healthy and have been in a home all their lives.

Can we get this post out there please. There must be somewhere for them XX

UPDATE on the 3 little dogs needing a home

Poppy the youngest is adopted to the UK and will be travelling end of August. I need a short term foster for her.

The other two have NOT been adopted yet. There have been some amazing offers, so theyre safe BUT they really need to be adopted together, into a quiet home.

Theyre both 12 years old.

The boy is very quiet and small a cross of Chihuahua and Jack Russell but is Chi sized, He mostly sleeps. He is entire and at his age I wouldnt be looking to castrate.

The girl is a jack russell cross and the size of one, small but bigger than a Chi. Shes quite timid initially but then comes out of her shell. Both are rescues.

The owner - whom Ive been to see twice, is almost immobile. Her relatives are taking her back to the UK flying out early on Sunday 28th July and Im collecting the dogs on the saturday afternoon of the 27th.

They have all been very well looked after in a home, chipped passported and the girls spayed. Up to date every year on vaccinations, worming and flea/tick treatments.

Ideally Im looking for a quiet home for the two oldies. Theyre in good health housetrained and just looking for retirement.

Can anyone offer a space? Theyd likely be fine with other dogs but ideally quiet ones. I dont really want to put them into kennels at any stage

In an ideal world, someone would offer a home for all 3, Poppy just until end of august when she travels, and then keep the other 2.

Its going to be stressful enough for them to be moved from the only home and person theyve known without being bounced into kennels etc.

Pm if you can please cos I miss comments, and thank you all for your amazing support- your shares literally are saving these dogs lives XX

Pancho. This gorgeous 2 years old Malinois boy was found on an empty lot.

His 'owner' would appear a couple of times a week to throw some bread and bits for him to eat. The owner was happy to hand him over and now he's in kennels.

Pancho was quite aloof when he came. Mali's love humans and bond fast. But he just wasn't showing any interest and only wanted to go back to his kennel. It's where he felt safe.

A couple of months later and he's a different dog. He loves to engage, loves cuddles and snuggles.

And he's ready to re-home.

He walks great on the lead. He has energy but he's not manic. He loves to learn.

He would suit a home with a garden or in the Campo. A human to take him out for walks and hikes. And who will do a bit of training with him.

Whilst he's never been in a home, he would house train easily. He's fine with other dogs. He seems not bothered about cats but he's not been cat tested.

Gentle mouthed. You can handle him all over.

Chipped passported vaccinated and castrated.

Located in Alhaurin el Grande Málaga.

Pancho can travel abroad.

Pm for more info.

I spoke to Alfie this morning.

He says he can't understand why no one seems to want him.

I asked him his story.

He said he was wandering around near Cordoba and found a lady to help him. Then a rescuer offered to help.

Despite posters and social media, his owners didn't come forward, or didn't want him and Alfie got depressed.

He was offered a fabulous foster home and this is where he is now, living with another dog and the house cat.

He's clean in the home, not destructive, sleeps through the night, adores his cuddles, walks perfectly on the lead, travels well in the car and sits quietly at cafes.

Alfie is in perfect health, and can travel. He weighs 15kg and is below knee height. Located Alhaurin el Grande Málaga Spain

***HOMED***

Yesterday I posted in desperation about a husky who had been abandoned for 2-3 weeks in a village in the Granada area.

Amazingly one of my FB friends saw it and decided to take him in (yeah s*x change dog hahahaha cos no one had actually checked).

And here he is on his way - a 3 hour round trip but well worth it.

Look at that smile. The smile of a doggy who knows he is on his way to be loved and looked after.

They all deserve homes dont they :)

Thank you to everyone who shared my post and to those who put themselves out to help :) XX

I don't know if anyone can help. There's a young female husky in a village in Granada.

ADOPTED / ADOPTDADA

She's been hanging around for a couple of weeks getting thinner and thinner :(

Everywhere is full.

Friend of mine Nicola Toner asked me if I could help and see if anyone would like to take her in. I can't. She can't. And seemingly no one can.

I'd hate her to end up in the municipal pound as I'm hearing the most awful things about those places now - not feeding the dogs and over crowding leading to fights and dead dogs due to the regulations.

Anyone?

Please hit that S button as someone may like to take her in. She can be brought down to the Málaga area if need be. X

Woofin Good Treats news

As many of you know, the last three months have seen me preoccupied with my mothers illness. I didn’t see until recently that another dog treat company had set up – two actually, one English and one Spanish. I guess I should be happy as imitation is the best form of flattery. And I should have noticed that the stock wasn’t going, but I didn’t.

Sadly for me, all the profits from this business enabled the residence fees to be covered for the rescue dogs I take on, currently 3 in residence and one in foster.

Going forwards I will not be taking on any more rescue dogs until I can somehow recoup that income.

Below is the list of the last of my retail stock, and once its gone, I will no longer be offering smaller retail bags of products, but instead will shift totally to the new wholesale club version

As you can see from those prices, large savings can be made, and people can club together to purchase the bigger bags. They have a very long shelf life as long as they're stored in a cool area.

The stock I get is sourced from Europe and is produced to the highest standard, slowly dehydrated to ensure the integrity of the nutrients are not lost. They are then frozen to ensure no bugs exist.

Orders over 50 euros will attract free shipping anywhere in Spain and the Balearics.

I would like to heartily thank all my customers for their purchases over the last two years – your buying power has directly and positively impacted several rescue dogs

Please join the group Woofin Treats Club for more information and to order

Thank you xx
