🩺🐾 Un simple análisis de sangre puede salvar la vida de tu perro o gato.

El chocolate contiene teobromina, una sustancia que los perros no pueden metabolizar bien y que puede acumularse en su organismo hasta causar una intoxicación grave.

Cuanto más puro el cacao, más tóxico es.

👉 Con tan solo 25 g de cacao, un perro de 20 kg puede mostrar síntomas como hiperactividad, vómitos, diarrea, sed excesiva, temblores o incluso convulsiones.

Si sospechas que tu perro ha comido chocolate, acude de inmediato al veterinario. La rapidez puede salvar su vida.

Chocolate contains theobromine, a substance that dogs cannot metabolize well and that can accumulate in their bodies, causing severe poisoning.

The purer the cocoa, the more toxic it is.

👉 With just 25 g of cocoa, a 20 kg dog can show symptoms such as hyperactivity, vomiting, diarrhea, excessive thirst, tremors, or even seizures.

¿Cada cuánto debo desparasitar a mi mascota?
Es una de las preguntas más comunes… ¡y una de las más importantes! 🐾

La desparasitación regular protege a tu peludo de parásitos internos y externos que pueden afectar su salud, causar molestias e incluso transmitir enfermedades a humanos.

🔸 Cachorros: Son más vulnerables y necesitan controles más frecuentes, ya que su sistema inmune aún se está desarrollando.
🔸 Adultos: También necesitan protección constante, sobre todo si pasean, conviven con otros animales o viven en zonas verdes.

💡 En general:
✔️ Interna (lombrices, tenias, etc.): se recomienda de forma periódica según la edad y el estilo de vida.
✔️ Externa (pulgas, garrapatas, ácaros): idealmente cada mes o según el producto.

¿Sabías que hay enfermedades que tu peludo puede transmitir… incluso sin síntomas?
Se llaman zoonosis, y no siempre dan la cara a tiempo.

🔸 Leishmaniosis, rabia, toxoplasmosis, parásitos intestinales…
Todas pueden afectar a personas, especialmente a niños, mayores o personas inmunodeprimidas.
Pero la buena noticia es que ¡pueden prevenirse!

¿Qué hacer si crees que tu compañero está sufriendo un golpe de calor?

✅ Llévalo de inmediato a un lugar fresco y sombreado
✅ Moja su cuerpo con agua tibia (¡nunca fría!)
✅ Activa la ventilación o abanícalo
✅ Ofrécele agua fresca poco a poco

📞 Llama a tu veterinario o busca atención urgente

Lo que NO debes hacer:
❌ No uses hielo ni agua helada
❌ No lo cubras con toallas mojadas (puede impedir que elimine el calor)
❌ No lo obligues a beber agua si no quiere

La mejor forma de evitarlo es prevenir:
🚶 Evita paseos en horas de máximo calor
💧 Asegura agua fresca siempre disponible
🛏 Ofrécele un espacio ventilado y con sombra
🚗 Nunca lo dejes solo en un coche, ni un minuto

What should you do if you think your pet is suffering from heatstroke?

✅ Take them to a cool, shady place immediately
✅ Wet their body with warm water (never cold!)
✅ Turn on the ventilation or fan them
✅ Offer them cool water little by little

📞 Call your vet or seek urgent care

What NOT to do:
❌ Don't use ice or ice water
❌ Don't cover them with wet towels (it can prevent them from getting rid of heat)
❌ Don't force them to drink water if they don't want to

The best way to avoid it is to prevent it:
🚶 Avoid walks during peak hours
💧 Always make sure fresh water is available
🛏 Offer them a ventilated and shaded space
🚗 Never leave them alone in a car, not even for a minute
