I am the owner of 35 Pine trees, one Stallion and a Linden tree. I am a custodian to 9 horses and 30 more in my equine diaspora. I am a guide for students, professional and amateurs alike, from around the world.
Today I celebrate the human spirit of tenacity, patience and devotion. Pictured here is my student Karen and her boy Gallo.
1.5 years ago, after a fall, she began her lessons on how to long-rein. This would help her confidence and solidify riding principles she could take to her riding later down the line.
Week after week she built this skill base. With every passing month her tools to build a stronger language and bond deepened.
And voilá! Here she is today back in the saddle riding better than ever.
I always encourage students to learn proper classical long-reigning even before learning how to ride. It helps build the skills that will improve your riding. And that is if you are taught correctly.
My introduction into horses made it mandatory to learn this skill before I was even allowed to sit on a horse.
It’s THAT important that I even created an introductory long-reining course as part of my education library. Curious to start ? I include the link https://education.mariakatsamanis.com/courses/intro-to-long-reining
