Click on PHOTOS to view all collections. My name is Jenna; an uncommon name in Southern Spain, which is where I live with my husband and my 2 daughters. I actually have no formal training in anything to do with sewing or needlework, I taught myself during my second pregnancy, at a time when anxiety ruled my life and I needed something to keep my mind busy. This fast-growing project started with a

humble target of reaching enough funds to buy one of those paddling pools with an automatic pump. A little treat which we didn’t really need as we live close to the sea, but I fancied nonetheless. I started off with my buntings and within a week, much to my surprise and gratitude, I exceeded my target and as a result was filled with pride and motivation! Over the past 2 years I’ve expanded my collection to Sock Monkeys, Owls, Name Garlands, Buntings, Frogs, Bird Mobiles, Hobby Horses and much more! Unemployment is very tough in Southern Spain at the moment, so I’m very lucky to be able to help out some good friends who are talented sewers by sharing some of my work with them. When I’m not in my full time publishing job, looking after my daughters or sewing, I’m generally riding my horse Leon. I’m quite a stereotype Sagittarian in that I’m adventurous, optimistic and sometimes a little too outspoken and opinionated. But I make up for it by being quite proactive in helping others and get involved in as much charity activity as I can. My main inspirations in terms of sewing come from wildlife, children and my overdeveloped imagination in general. I constantly find myself bursting into laughter about silly things that I’d be too embarrassed to say out loud! Making things has become an incredibly important part of my life – When you buy something from me, I’m giving you a piece of my heart, and a timeslot out of my life which I have wholeheartedly dedicated to making your item perfect. IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT: Until now, I´ve been using coloured feathers on the tails of the birdies on my mobiles. I´m trying to be more conscious of animal cruelty and in order to hopefully make a teeny difference, have decided to no longer use feathers for any of my work. The birds still look gorgeous without feathers, in fact I´m the only crafter that does add feathers (that I´m aware of). These mobiles retail for at least 40 pounds on Etsy and I make them for only 25, so if you´d like one please let me know :)

I've made a few changes to the way I do things here at Handmade with Love. I take a lot of pride in how I package and present my work, but in order to keep my prices competitive this has meant purchasing my carrier bags and a few other bits and bobs from China. I'm in no way racist, but at times when our own countries really need our support to get their heads above the water, I think it's really important that we support our own business. For this reason, my toys will now be delivered either in cellophane bags which look very professional and keep the items free from dust and any pollution from the air, or they can be wrapped in recycled brown or purple paper. This doesn't apply to postal orders which will continue to be dispatched in their recognizable pink bags. This means a slight increase in price for me, but it's worth every penny and actually, the final product looks much better and it's much more world-friendly.

Evening all, like most crafters all over the world, I´ve been hit by an unfortunate rise in postage costs. My new postage cost for anything under 500grams (1.1 pounds) is 5 pounds, and this is still less that what it costs me. I will be more than happy to combine postage to make it as cheap as possible x
