Our aim is to prevent unnecessary suffering and rehome the many abandoned dogs within the Costa Blanca area. Cobra and C**t have now been with us for a year, and what a journey it has been. These two have taken their time learning to trust and build the confidence needed to step out into the world on a lead.
Some dogs need a little extra time to adjust to leads, harnesses and new experiences, and that's okay. Progress doesn't happen overnight. It takes consistency, understanding, and plenty of patience. With the help of our volunteers, Trish, Diane and Elena, we were able to give the boys the support they needed to reach these special moments.
Now that they've discovered the joys of exploring beyond their kennel, they love going out. Watching their confidence grow and seeing them enjoy the outside world is incredibly rewarding for everyone involved.
These are the moments that remind us why we do what we do.

Cobra y C**t llevan ya un año con nosotros, y menuda aventura ha sido. Estos dos se han tomado su tiempo para aprender a confiar y a desarrollar la seguridad necesaria para salir al mundo con la correa puesta.
Algunos perros necesitan un poco más de tiempo para acostumbrarse a las correas, los arneses y las nuevas experiencias, y eso está bien. El progreso no se consigue de la noche a la mañana. Se necesita constancia, comprensión y mucha paciencia. Con la ayuda de nuestros voluntarios, especialmente de Trish, Diane y Elena, podemos brindar a perros como Cobra y C**t el apoyo que necesitan para alcanzar estos momentos tan especiales.
Ahora que han descubierto la alegría de explorar más allá de su perrera, les encanta salir. Ver cómo crece su confianza y cómo disfrutan del mundo exterior es increíblemente gratificante para todos los que participamos en este proceso.
Son estos momentos los que nos recuerdan por qué hacemos lo que hacemos.

Can’t believe the boys have been with us for a whole year already!

They arrived as poorly one-year-olds, and it’s amazing to see how much healthier and happier they are now as two-year-olds.

Our two gorgeous big boys are celebrating their 2nd birthday and it also marks a whole year since they joined us.
These boys have come such a long way, both physically and emotionally. Many of you may remember Cobra when he first arrived in a truly appalling condition. After weeks of medication, care, and lots of love, he has transformed into the stunning boy he is today.
When they first came to us, both boys were extremely nervous and wary of people. Their socialisation has taken a little longer than usual, but the progress they have made has been incredible. They have recently started going out for walks and, although they can still be a little unsure at times, their confidence continues to grow every day.
They’ve also discovered their cheeky sides and absolutely love a good tickle!
Happy 2nd birthday, boys. We are so proud of how far you’ve come and can’t wait to see what the future holds for you both.

Nuestros dos preciosos chicos grandes celebran su segundo cumpleaños y, además, se cumple un año desde que llegaron con nosotros.
Estos chicos han avanzado muchísimo, tanto física como emocionalmente. Muchos de vosotros recordaréis a Cobra cuando llegó por primera vez en un estado realmente lamentable. Tras semanas de medicación, cuidados y mucho cariño, se ha transformado en el chico tan guapo que es hoy.
Cuando llegaron a nuestra casa, los dos estaban muy nerviosos y desconfiados con la gente. Su socialización ha llevado un poco más de tiempo de lo habitual, pero el progreso que han logrado ha sido increíble. Hace poco han empezado a salir a pasear y, aunque a veces todavía se muestran un poco inseguros, su confianza sigue creciendo cada día.
¡También han descubierto su lado travieso y les encantan las cosquillas!
Feliz segundo cumpleaños, chicos. Estamos muy orgullosos de lo lejos que habéis llegado y estamos deseando ver lo que el futuro os depara a los dos.

Not every day at the kennels is the same.

Some days bring happy endings, adoptions and progress. Other days can be challenging and emotional. But through it all, we feel incredibly blessed.

We are privileged to care for such wonderful dogs, giving them the best care we can, safe surroundings, and the chance to enjoy life while they wait for their forever homes.

None of this would be possible without our amazing, dedicated volunteers, both at the kennels and in our charity shops. Along with the support of our followers, adopters and donors, they enable us to do the work we do.

Every day we get to spend time with the dogs, and they make us laugh more often than not. They remind us why we do what we do.

And then there are moments like this beautiful sunrise, when you stop for a moment and realise just how blessed you are.

No todos los días en la perrera son iguales.

Algunos días traen finales felices, adopciones y avances. Otros días pueden ser difíciles y emotivos. Pero, a pesar de todo, nos sentimos increíblemente afortunados.

Tenemos el privilegio de cuidar de perros tan maravillosos, dándoles los mejores cuidados posibles, un entorno seguro y la oportunidad de disfrutar de la vida mientras esperan encontrar un hogar definitivo.

Nada de esto sería posible sin nuestros increíbles y dedicados voluntarios, tanto en la perrera como en nuestras tiendas benéficas. Junto con el apoyo de nuestros seguidores, adoptantes y donantes, ellos nos permiten hacer el trabajo que hacemos.

Cada día podemos pasar tiempo con los perros, y la mayoría de las veces nos hacen reír. Nos recuerdan por qué hacemos lo que hacemos.

Y luego hay momentos como este precioso amanecer, en los que te detienes un instante y te das cuenta de lo afortunado que somos.

Elmo loves to splash and paddle around in all weather, but there’s nothing better than a good paddle on a hot summer day! He absolutely loves getting in the water, cooling off and having a good old splash about. Have you got a pool he can paddle in?

Our dogs absolutely love the early morning! It’s lovely and cool, making it the perfect time to go for a walk or have some fun playing in the exercise areas before the temperatures start to rise.

Once the hottest part of the day arrives, it’s time to chill and take things a little easier. With plenty of shade and water, everyone can relax and stay comfortable.

Early morning fun followed by a chilled-out afternoon — the perfect summer routine at the rescue!

¡A nuestros perros les encanta la madrugada! Hace un tiempo estupendo y fresco, por lo que es el momento perfecto para dar un paseo o divertirse jugando en las zonas de ejercicio antes de que empiecen a subir las temperaturas.

Cuando llega la hora más calurosa del día, es el momento de relajarse y tomárselo con más calma. Con mucha sombra y agua, todos pueden relajarse y estar a gusto.

Diversión a primera hora de la mañana seguida de una tarde tranquila: ¡la rutina de verano perfecta en el refugio!

We're looking for a dedicated new team members to join SAT in San Isidro.

This is NOT a job where you sit around playing with puppies all day.
(Our dogs wish it was!)

What it actually involves:

• Being physically fit and happy to get stuck in
• Working well as part of a team and also independently
• Being reliable, hardworking and adaptable
• Cleaning, walking, lifting, caring and making a real difference
• Holding a driving licence
• Being available to work weekends
• Speaking English and Spanish

The rewards:

• Seeing frightened dogs learn to trust again
• Watching the dogs find loving homes
• Going home knowing your work truly mattered

Buscamos a nuevas personas comprometida para que se incorpore a SAT en San Isidro.
Este NO es un trabajo en el que te pases el día sentado jugando con cachorros.
(¡Ojalá lo fuera, por el bien de nuestros perros!)
