Today is VERY special day here.

It is Mr King Kobus' 5th Birthday.

For 10 years I wanted a Galgo, but the day that I met him, that wasn't the intention at all. Before I even got back home after meeting him, Debs already knew about him, and the rest, as they say, is history. Kobus has brought so much joy to our lives. He truly is a special dog.

Kobus had an extra special day thanks to with their amazing dog birthday cakes. You can tell that a lot of love and care was put into his cakes. Thank you!

Happy Birthday Kobus, you incredible dog. And as always, thank you for this beautiful creature.

Over the past few years, for me personally, having clients enquire for 'general training' seems to be on the decline.

I am really enjoying working with Coco, Kali, Poppy and Loki to do exactly that.

The familes adult Dachshund was already really well trained so the main focus was on the Vizla's and the Mastin to help through puppyhood and adolescence. They are growing up quick and an absolute pleasure to work with.

There is something really special about supporting people when they get a new puppy.

Puppies can be challenging at the best of times, and to be able to help owners navigate all of the changes that occur, to be able to address immediately any 'issues' that pop up, is an absolute game changer to ensure success for the future.

Early Feb, we took our lot on a mini break with us to the beautiful area around Periana.

It was amazing. Our dogs loved it, and it was something that we used to only dream of. Let's face it, 4 dogs are a lot to go on holiday with 🤣

Until I decided that life is too short. For those that have followed Norte's story on FB, to see this little lad excel, it was a very humbling experience.

Between all of my dogs we have had to work through, I feel, every behavioural issue that there is in existence. It's been a long, hard, exhausting journey, but to be completely honest... my incredible clients play a part in us actually doing this. They also motivate me. To do better and be better. Love all of you ❤️❤️

Misu is yet another Galga that the hunters decided to get rid of. She entered 112 Carlota Galgos yesterday and birthed six puppies in the early hours of the morning.

It wasn't straight forward and Misu ended up having emergency surgery. Because of the amazing setup that they have at the finca, with their own vet and clinic and with every family member helping and watching over them all 24/7, Misu and puppies have pulled through.

But one mouth has turned into seven and puppies come with extra costs.

You will rarely see Charl ask for help which is why I need and want to help her. Some of the cases that they get are not easy but no Galgo ever leaves the finca until they are ready to have a home. The work that goes into each Galgo is nothing short of incredible.

Charley has come for the week and he has had his first try of swimming. He aced it ❤️

He is going to be a pro by the time we all go and visit a very special place to have him swimming alongside other dogs to help with his reactivity towards them.

Livi smashing her cafe/restaurant visit 🥳

A few months ago this would have been impossible. She was barking at dogs and people and was extremely nervous of the outside world in general....when I first started working with her she would look for an escape route even when she was in an area with nothing around.

She has 'made friends' with other dogs in my programs and has had many adventures with them going to different places, learning how to be a dog again.

Still a bit of work to do with relaxation but the dream of her awesome owner of being able to take her out with her without worrying is well and truly happening.

Big shout out to Atalaya Golf and Country Club. Food and service was incredible.

Shame he only observed and didn't help with the actual digging or landscaping 🤣🤣

Kobus did help though with the transporting of the seedlings and checking the width of the fencing. Clearly the most important part of the job 🤣😍😎

Ruthie is going to learn all about how to walk on the leash properly when out with her owner and the other family dog so that she isn't pulling any arms out of their sockets, recall and proper engagement with her owner when out to work towards off leash reliability and to accept going in a car.

The beautiful Safa did great with training today, despite the sudden downpour.

Learning to chill and do nothing and to not jump up are a couple of the things that we are working on.

They are important skills for every dog to learn. It wasn't in todays plan but chill was what was needed when taking cover under a bunch of palm trees in the rain and mud (hence taking a sit and not a down) 🤣❤️

Great first day back with Zuva ❤ in the UK.

After a little bit of searching online The Brittania Guildford seemed like the perfect place to practice a cafe/bar/restaurant settle. A little bit of a way to go but she will get there.

They have dog beds, water and dog biscuits in a jar ready and waiting for their canine clients. Staff were super awesome too 🥰

Zuva is now chillaxing after her awesomeness.

Meet Max ❤ a little heart stealer. Fell in love the first second that I met him.

Max is pretty nervous so he needs help to feel safe in the world, build up his confidence and to not be reactive to dogs, people and traffic.

Super happy as to how he is progressing (along with his sister from another mother Lola).

They are both lucky to have amazing owners who have embraced this journey with open arms ❤❤

'Obedience' can only go so far and along with behaviour modification we have something else that we are doing to support his emotional needs and the training. There will be more details on this later on in his journey 😀

Blue rocking his first cafe trip.

What kind of lifestyle do you want with your dog? We are lucky here on the Costa del Sol with so many dog friendly places and outdoor areas. Being able to take your four legged best friend with you makes it all that more special ❤

The staff are great at Las Muchachas Beach House, Estepona, a huge thanks to them for being awesome. They were so great Blue didn't want to leave!

Bert's reactivity towards dogs is getting better. He is lucky to have owners that want the best for him.

He is such a sweetheart.

Having a reactive dog can be really hard for both owners and dogs.

If you see someone having a hard time with their dog, be kind. There are too many people quick to judge without knowing how much effort people have to put into changing their dogs behaviour.

It can be exhausting and there will always be highs and lows.

Changing behaviour takes time.
