Sweetpea is moulting and very camera shy.

This week Pipsqueak has been returning to her previously favourite napping spot on her little wood tower (sorry I didn't get a photo). Again this is something she hadn't done without Chirpy.

Pipsqueak has returned to joining us a the table for most meals and Sweetpea is trying, but not brave enough yet. Today Pipsqueak came to me on the sofa to steal some sandwich, again another first since losing Chirpy. Sweetpea tried her best to come too, but didn't have the confidence to land.

Every week there are new little firsts for both girls.

Tonight Sweetpea has been busily chasing a moth. She is turning out to be a real clown with a lot of confidence. 💙

This week Pipsqueak seems to have suddenly decided to return to being the bird she used to be. She is landing on ours shoulders. Today she decided on more than one occasion to follow me into the kitchen. She hasn't been in there since we lost Chirpy. Oh and she has resumed her obsession with bags and throwing DVD's on the floor. Welcome back Pipsqueak ❤️💚

Pipsqueak has a new project that her sister has been helping with. How long until it falls apart completely?

These two have totally hit it off. We are definitely starting to see signs of the old Pipsqueak. She isn't just sitting around now. There have been lots of zoomies and several very close fly pasts. Sweetpea seems to be quite adventurous so has been in and out of different rooms. They share really nicely most of the time and despite having many different food dishes they will frequently share one. Pipsqueak even let's Sweetpea share her treatos. Pipsqueak has even flown to her dad a couple of times today, but I haven't had that privilege yet.

Happy heavenly birthday to my beloved Chirpy. She would have been 7 years old today. We are still finding it hard to fill the huge hole she left behind in our hearts. She was an incredibly special little bird. One in a million. I will always love you and miss you my darling baby girl 💔

Pipsqueak has seemed so sad. She wasn't being her playful mischievous self. She spent most of the day sat doing nothing and not eating much. Her only sign of excitement was chatting to Sweetpea through the door. So today I decided to cut quarantine short (we did 3 weeks) for Pipsqueak's sake.

I don't think she likes me kissing her belly, but at least she doesn't fly away.

Today Sweetpea discovered she likes banana

Sweetpea has been trying to fly to me. So far only managed landing on my leg. Mean while Pipsqueak chose to follow us to the kitchen today and sit on the tap. She hasn't done that without Chirpy. Later she joined us at the dining table to pinch some rice. Slowly we are getting tiny glimpses of the old Pipsqueak.

Chirpy and Pipsqueak used to always join me for brushing teeth (brushy beaks as we call it 🤣). Pipsqueak hasn't wanted to come to me without Chirpy. However this morning Pipsqueak was watching me and blowing kisses, so I asked her if she wanted to do brushy beaks and she stepped up and stayed with me. This was a lovely way to start the day 💚

Now taking treats out of the cage. Aim is to have Step up mastered by this time next week. Let's see how she goes.
