Seeing the state of these dog rescues in Valencia is heartbreaking. The city center—where I’ll be moving—has been spared by the recent flood, but the surrounding towns, where most shelters are, weren’t as lucky. As I prepare to arrive on Tuesday, I can’t stop thinking about how I can help these dogs in need. It’s clear there’s a lot of work ahead, and I’m eager to roll up my sleeves. 🐾

Just wanted to take a quick break between sessions and say a huge thanks to everyone who came out to support my surgery fundraiser. Things got pretty hectic for a bit there, and I really appreciate those who hung in there during the wait. While our mission has always been to celebrate the joy and love that pets bring into our lives, it's impossible to ignore the devastating impact of the ongoing conflict between Israel and Hamas. We think of the countless innocent lives displaced, the families torn apart, and the communities shattered. Our hearts also go out to the often-overlooked victims: the pets and animals caught in the crossfire. Pets offer unconditional love and companionship, and to think of them suffering or lost is heartbreaking. In times of war and unrest, animals, just like people, need safety, shelter, and care. Many have lost their homes, some have lost their lives, and others are out there, frightened and alone. Though we are miles away, our thoughts and sincere wishes for peace extend to every individual and pet affected by this ongoing tragedy. To those in a position to help, consider supporting organizations actively working on animal rescue and care in crisis zones. Thank you for taking a moment to reflect on this somber issue.
