Do you think Misha Can spell his name 😎?
Horse who can spell his name
Hey guys, we are doing 2 new projects at the moment. The videos is pretty much self explanatory. Feel free to pm for more information or follow our educational group Horse training at liberty & cognitive development by Equisapince
A young 2 years old Lusitano colt. It was a very windy day , just having a little play 😊
A play day with both horses in the paddock. The ground is not very good at the moment due to weather conditions 🤪. Easia ( cremello Lusitano filly) is watching closely and taking some lessons from the boys 🐴
We took horse for a walk in the forest yesterday. Zhora ,( Appaloosa) was in supper good mood and showed us this , Misha was patiently waiting and be part of a “camera man “😀
Hey guys, last time we had a post about Zhora who learned the number . This time this video is about Misha 😊.
This time it was Misha’s and Ivan’s time to go out today . Ivan is soo curious of everything happening around and he likes to investigate 😄
Morning walk with Misha and Easia 😀
Here is a short video of Misha recognising colour blue and then spelling the word blue.
To teach your horse how to spell is a great mental exercise and you can teach any horse to do that, no matter on age, size or breed 😊
🔅what is piaffe ?
Piaffe is a highly collected, cadenced, elevated diagonal movement giving the impression of remaining in place. The horse's back is supple and elastic. The hindquarters are lowered; the haunches with active hocks are well engaged, giving great freedom, lightness and mobility to the shoulders and forehand.
Most horses find it easier to learn the piaffe from the ground, without the weight of the rider at first because they only have to manage their own weight.
There are many ways to teach piaffe, we usually start from diagonalization. The Horse learns very quickly that Diagonalizing his steps can be more energy efficient than walking or halting. When the horse discovers for himself that half steps or piaffe steps are less tiring than walking or halting, he will be happy to piaffe, and he will remain calm in the process. The horse will always seek out the movement pattern that requires the least amount of effort under the given circumstances.
Every horse is a little different. Not every exercise will work for every horse. Most of them have a certain type of exercise that makes sense to them and gives them the right idea. Some of them find it very difficult to diagonalize their steps. They tend to piaffe in 4 beats or in lateral steps. Be patient… It can take from six months to two years for the piaffe to become good enough for the competitive arena. Even if you don't want to go out and compete, it can still take that long for the horse to become physically strong enough to work in the piaffe at home for fun.
Would love to know what is your experience / thoughts please do share down in comments🦄
Here is a short video of different stages of piaffe with our horses
Here is a little performance from Misha 🥰

‼️‼️‼️‼️Diagnosis isn’t a sentence‼️‼️‼️
How often can you hear the phrases: “My horse is already 15 years old, what do you want from it?”,
“My horse has kissing vertebrae, it can’t do anything anymore,” and so on …
This horse (Meredian) at the age of 4 had kissing vertebrae and fused vertebrae , and number of other health issues.
Unfortunately, In some countries, horses with this diagnosis are euthanized. But thanks to our special training programme , this horse not only lived a full and happy life and knew how to perform many high school dressage moves at liberty, but even became the only one in the world who makes Viennese curbet at liberty without a bit in his mouth.
Next month he will turn 24 years old, in Ukraine he survived the occupation and, fortunately, survived.
It’s very sad that people put themselves and their horses into some kind of limitations /restrictions frame and suffer from it
Yes, if your horse is young and healthy, that's fine, but if there are some health issues, you don't need to give up on the horse, or even get rid of it. Most of the problems can be solved with correct training ( rehabilitation program).
If a person has been diagnosed with a serious diagnosis, he should not lie down and wait for death. …right ?
There are a few cases when a person has been paralysed, but through practice and self-confidence, made a full recovery. The same applies to horses. …
Most of the musculoskeletal system problems are solvable. All you need is the right approach, and understanding of what, when and how to do the training that keep your horse healthy and fun for both of you.
it’s important to have fun during the training As , it is one of the keys to successful treatment. Any training without some fun for you and horse can only exacerbate the problem…. 🐴🐴🧲
…‼️remembered- Diagnosis is not a sentence…
