Poor baby must have been terrified 🙀

A female cat called John was found with her head poking out one end of a pipe and needed to be rescued by firefighters.

My last morning walk with my buddies Pippa and Jaques.
Very, very wet underfoot. I have got through four pairs of walking boots this week and eight pairs of thick walking socks.
I'm certain I've got webbed feet 🦆🦆🦆

The pups are truly unconcerned 🐶🤣🐕‍🦺😂

And finally, just ten minutes ago, the endless, endless rain has stopped.☔☔☔
We have two wet dogs, one wet dog walker (it was B's turn this evening, mine this morning) lots of wet boots and clothing hanging on the airer, but hey, there's some sunshine now 🌞🌞🌞

I think the cooler nights are bringing all the cats in to snooze indoors.
Here's a selection from this evening. We had Mutti, Popps and Trixie Belle snuggled around with us and the dogs. Susie was asleep on the chair in the utility room and we've still not seen Molly. Our clients say her appearances are quite rare now as she seems to prefer being an outdoor cat. We live in hope she'll join us one evening.

We're all settled in with Pippa and Jaques 🐕🐕‍🦺, Mutti, Little Suzy, Popps, Molly and Trixie Belle 😻😺🐈😸🐈.
The rain has been just horrendous, so have got ourselves pretty wet on the morning and evening dog walks. The indoor cats have all said hello and some have had cuddles.

We did a good, long walk this morning as the sun was up and shining - 8.5kms, but the last km the heavens opened again and we were pretty soaked when we got back. Wet clothes on the airer in the utility. Luckily we both have plenty of boots and waterproofs.

Looking after two VERY shy, very pretty black cats,, Archie and Alfie. We got to know them a little last year - mostly me lying on our clients' bedroom floor talking to them both under the bed, where they had retreated. It took several days of then avoiding us before, the braver one, Archie ventured downstairs whilst we were around.

This time, however, Archie ventured out briefly not long after our clients had left for their lovely holiday.
He's been into the living room several times now to just sit and have a good look at us. He even let Bruce have a quick gentle rub on the top of his head!

Alfie, however, is far less brave so we've seen quick flashes of him in our client's bedroom doorway;I've had one quiet chat, laid on the bedroom floor, with him glaring at me from under the bed and we briefly saw him leg it back upstairs after eating some breakfast this morning.

My contempt and loathing of puppy farmers knows no bounds, BUT whilst ever people prefer to buy their new family member, rather than heading to the refuges to find their new family member, there will be those, highly unscrupulous, money-gabbing sh*t-heads who perpetrate this appalling pain and horror upon animals.

I NEVER share pictures of real animals who have been recovered from these animal hells as they make me sick to my core, but I think First Dog on the Moon have done this just right.

Rescue, don't buy.

Contrast my anger towards puppy mills with the joy of seeing a rescue dog running on grass for the first time in its life
