Was a busy week hauling hay downtown to the San Antonio Pumpkin Festival. Pretty cool place right in downtown SA! Lots of fun activities crammed into this little lot. It was pretty interesting getting the trailers in and unloaded with down town traffic.

It’s that time of year again! Cooler weather and shorter days. We have wheat straw bales for fall decoration or those Halloween hay rides. $10 per bale or $200 for a bundle of 21 bales. We also “rent” square bales of coastal for hay rides. Contact us for more information.

It’s that time of year again! Show pig 🐖 season off to a great start this year with lots of kids getting their pigs over the next few weeks. Besides selling quality hay we also sell Lindner’s show feeds and ShowFlake brand shavings. We keep most of the popular show pig rations in stock at the farm. We usually go to the mill in Comfort every week so if there is something special you need we can get it. Text Ashley at 210-213-9252 for availability and pricing.

We have irrigated sorghum Sudan square bales back in stock. Fine stemmed and cut at chest high. Never rained on. $230 per bundle or $12 for singles.

What a beautiful rain last night! While it will be wet for a few days we all know it will dry out again. We are getting an order of sprinklers together to be shipped from Nevada to the farm. Save some delivery charge by picking your machine up here at my farm in LaCoste or if you are close enough we will bring it to your farm. If you have questions call me at 210-414-1476.

We have a small amount of fresh square bales of coastal. Baled this past Thursday. Fine stemmed with great color and as always heavily fertilized and w**d free. $240 per bundle of 21 bales. These won’t last long. We should have Tifton rounds and squares in 10-14 days or so. Sorry but we do not have any horse quality rounds in stock at the moment. We do have peanut round bales for $90 and some lower quality Tifton squares from last year for $150 per bundle.

If anyone would like to support the youth of Medina County you are welcome to come on out to Hondo today at 11:00 for the live auction or you can do add on donations on the link below. These are talented hard working youngsters who put many hours into their projects every year. The money they receive more than likely will fund their future education or there projects for the next year. I’m proud of these kids and proud to be part of this organization!

Garrett is cranking out the Tifton round bales on this beautiful Texas afternoon. We are all hoping and praying for rain and cooler weather but don’t wait to stock up for winter! Come out and get some fresh, fertilized, and irrigated Tifton 85 round bales, or let us deliver a load of 20 on our self unloading trailer. $130 per bale picked up on the farm.

Cutting some young Tifton 85 today. We are cutting this field about a week early so we can get back on our schedule. Should make some really nice square bales Friday.

Vaughan Irrigators demo day tomorrow at 2:00pm

If anyone is interested in an irrigation system for small acreage let us know. We have been using one of the irrigators from a company in Nevada called Vaughan Irrigators USA since last fall and they really work great for some of our small fields and corners of a pivot. I purchased the larger model and have a medium sized model at the farm that can be purchased. Vaughn Irrigators USA will be here in mid April for an on farm demonstration with several different models that can be purchased that day.
