Uallam Nomade de Garde-Épée (aka Scrabble) came with his family celebrating his first birthday with his mother, grand-mother and cousins ! It was the first time since he left us for his loving family, at a few weeks old, that he came back to Azaland and his family.
He recognized us all and was so happy to spend some time with us. Tidémit, Inara and Salomé also reminded him and greeted him.
He is a lovely, kind and easy boy. He is so easy with everyone ! humans, dogs and all kind of animals.
Good job Romain !
When it was time to leave Azaland, both juniors had not enough and seemed not really ready right now to continue the road trip. It was so funny, and surprising for Romain, as the two never leave each other .
Bye bye Scrabble ! See you hopefully soon ! 🥰

The Taigan is a breed of sighthound from Kyrgyzstan. The Taigan is found in the alpine Tian Shan region of Kyrgyzstan on the border with China, it is closely related to the Tazy and the Afghan hound.

Nous prévoyons d'avoir des chiots TAÏGAN dans un avenir proche, puisque la race est en cours de reconnaissance par la France, sous le patronage du club FALAPA. Ce sera la première portée de TAÏGANS à naître en France. Nous serons ravis de partager cette nouvelle aventure et notre passion pour cette race, ancienne et authentique, avec toute personne intéressée connaissant bien les lévriers.

On July 7, Toboré was also shown at our regional National CAC Show in JARNAC under Judge Christian MAGRÉ. She likes being part of any event ! 😎
She was alone in the Intermediate Class and was given EXC 1 - CACS - BOS. 🥇 🏆 🥳

She was, as always, so happy to show her joy and her happy tail ! 😂

This week-end, another of our puppies made a (difficult) debut in a national show.
U'Thiyya de Garde-Epée 😍 (Mother: INTAZOLÈN (import NIGER) & Father: NAYLUN de Garde-Epée) was shown for the first time in puppy class at Ambès CAC show, and she was not confident at all. 🫨
Thank you to judge Robert KOTLAR who understood the situation and who was pleased with her and gave her Very Promising. 🏆🥳
We have no decent photo of her at the show, so instead that here is the photo taken by William Pompen at one of her lure coursing training where she is way more comfortable ! 💪

Taoulélout is also 7,5 months old. I am impressed by her elegance ! She is also very funny in her way of being dominant but also distant and cautious towards everything new or unusual. Typical original Azawakh temperament !
No wonder since her mother was born in the Sahel in Niger. 😉

Zemrane is 7 months old now and starts to get a bit less childish 😂 but still having his «chinese eyes» when looking at us, as if he was trying to smile asking for attention !
He grew a lot and is starting to put some weight on. Oh, and finally, his two balls are definitely down and in place! 😉😂

Reminder : his mother is Timidiwa, who I imported in 2015 from COO, Tin-Akof, Burkina Faso, bred by Ayade AG INCHANANE.

Temsé is now 7,5 months old and finally starting to shed. Her yellow baby-winter coat starts to fall from the legs and shoulders. This was typical from many of the old french line Azawakhs like Gefell de Garde-Epée or his daughter Swalas Shemell 😉.
She has so beautiful eyes !

We have known each other since 2007 and we have met often, traveling together several times to the Sahel (Mali, Burkina Faso and Niger).
Youf and Taussit, the two brothers who came from Niger in 2007, lived with Gerhard and me respectively.

Gerhard never had the opportunity to visit us in Azaland and the Garde-Epee & the Kel Az’Amour Azawakhs.

He is usually behind the camera, photographing the Azawakhs at shows, this time he was in front of my phone camera.

It was the first time our dogs met him, they welcomed him so kindly and Salomé immediately decided that this visitor would belong to her as long as he stayed here. Almost no other dog had the opportunity to come and be petted by Gerhard without being forbidden to approach with loud growling while holding the place on Gerhard's lap. 😂

It was so nice to spend some time with you talking, showing you our living place, the famous view, and our dogs. 😘
