Hello and welcome to Chateau des Chiens. I ran a successful mobile dog grooming business in the UK for over three years, starting with no customers and building up to over 300. I have experience with all types of dog from Chihuahuas through to Saint Bernards and all types of temperament. The salon has been set up to be as friendly to the dogs as possible. There is heating for the winter and air-co

n for the summer. The table and the bath are both hydraulic to avoid pressure on the ribs and stomachs of larger dogs. All dogs are hand dried using an electronically controlled blower, I don’t believe in cage drying. I've managed to survive the first week back. So, I've decided to bring forward appointments to larger dogs to the week commencing 15th July.

Hello everybody. I can't believe that it's already 4 weeks since my hernia op. I saw the surgeon today for my follow up appointment. He is pleased with the actual procedure on my hernia but he is a little concerned that my incision has yet to fully heal. Taking his advice, I will start grooming again from Monday 1st July. That week I will work Monday, Wednesday and Friday morning on dogs no heavier than 15kg. The following week, every morning, maximum weight 15kg. Weeks commencing 15th & 22nd July, max weight 30kg. From 29th July, all sizes as normal. Obviously, if something crops up I'll have to change things around, but, I'm hopeful I won't need you. Thanks to all for bearing with me. Chris

Hi Everybody. As some of you already know I need to have a hernia op. The date I have is Monday 29th April, my last day at work will be Friday 26th April. I will not be back at work until at least Monday 3rd June, this clearly depends on how well my recovery goes and how much I follow the surgeon's instructions. 😁 I will of course give regular updates.

The good news is that there are over 3 months between now and the op, to time your dog's grooms so that they are not overly affected by my break.

I look forward to seeing you all over the next few months.
