" Pink dream "

It would be nice to always live in a pinky world💖, dreaming of pleasant things.🤩

Sometimes it is not working out like that though.
Usually we hate to complain but now slight explanations may be nice.😊

Lumac is a one man show mostly so everyone needs to consider that. One person has private life and may also get ill.😓🤒
That was kind of the story of beginning of the year. Personal trip to Sweden🇸🇪 and a super strong grip.

Therefor we limp behind with the orders🐌🐌. Now we trying to chew through them as we go.
Also our answering time to letters📧 etc is ridiculous - priorities first.

It is life. Then again good things await as well 🤓

COMMENT REGLER VOTRE REBELT ? 🔍

1⃣ - Desserrez tout! Les sangles qui passent entre les jambes, les sangles (derrière) et les élastiques (devant) qui relient la ceinture ventrale et le baudrier.

2⃣ - Enfilez le baudrier et positionnez la ceinture ventrale au dessus de vos hanches (hauteur de nombril ou juste en dessous). Ajustez la afin qu'elle ne vous serre pas trop mais qu'elle ne soit pas lâche. La ceinture ventrale ne doit pas pouvoir descendre plus bas que là ou vous l'avez positionnée.

3⃣ - Choisissez la hauteur de positionnement qui vous convient pour le baudrier et ensuite ajustez les sangles (derrière) entre la ceinture ventrale et le baudrier afin quelles soient tendues dans la position ou le baudrier vous est confortable.

4⃣ - Ajustez les sangles entre les jambes pour qu'elles ne soient pas lâches et que le baudrier ne puisse pas remonter. Il n'est pas utile de les serrer fort, ça serait inconfortable, mais il faut qu'elles soient assez ajustées pour que le baudrier reste stable.

5⃣ - Ajustez les élastiques (sur l'avant) entre la ceinture ventrale et le baudrier en vous assurant qu'ils ne soient pas positionnés en travers (la fixation côté ceinture ventrale doit bien être positionnée au dessus de la fixation coté baudrier).

" Explorers "

We mostly dont see much too interesting regarding innovation in the dog sport scene😕 - change of colors or small adjustments to existing products.🔴🟡🔵⚫️
To keep the freshness, one needs to keep a mindset of an explorer.🧐❓

So we will jump into something totally different for a change.

Dogs in colder❄️ climates need usually straw or wood wool in their boxes. We found something different for testing.😍
Its wood spirals which have much more volume than the other named articles.
For humans it is known, we need layers to be warm, so the heat can be trapped in the air pockets the layers create.
Why not same principle for "dog bedding" :)🐶😴

" Perspective "

We have had a great 2024 order load wise - sometimes a bit hard 🥵to handle but it shows potential.💪 If the products would not speak for themselves, we would not have all of that.
And the main thing, we love that you love them!🫶
But some times we have to put things to perspective.

Currently we can not continue anymore the old way - exactly the demand is killing us a little bit. Everyone should have their peaceful weekends and evenings.😌🥰
⚒So we have set in motion few big projects, which we hope to fulfil to serve our clients and resellers better. These involve mostly production and ordering for resellers. It will not be done in a flick of a finger but now there is new vision to future Lumac💯

😕We have fallen a little behind schedule but there is also personal project going on that will heavily affect Lumac.😍

So lets see what we can make of this 2025!😘

" Imagine "

2024 has been fast, rewarding and rough.
The more you do, the more there seems to be to do 🤓
We got the Rebelt belt out - huge thing for us! And thanks all the people who try it and specially our team who were the "test rabbits".🐇🐇🐇
This year ends with us making some premium sled dog lines and good news for new year - Noring collar will be available with pink/black loop♀️

But what about 25?
Well, to say shortly, it will be epic.
Imagine sewing team lines automatically - like robots and stuff? 😳 Or that so far Lumac has been more or less one man show - maybe a team in 25.
Too early to tell specifically or surely but if 2025 will not break us, you will see us for a long time!! That is a promise!

So until that, have fun wherever you are!

" Rebelt tip "

When we were in the process of designing Rebelt we chose not to add some plastic parts to attach the leg straps hanging free ends❗
😇We felt it would most likely be less comfy.

🥰BUT now when you have found your settings, there is a way to clean up the leg strap hanging parts!
Esthetics are not the core but nice to have.🤓

A small tutorial !
Basically fold the free end into half and feed it back to the buckle. Secure and clean. Takes 5min of you time 😊

" The WHY philosophy "

When we think about a new item, the ❓WHY is the more important question to ask. And there are many of the why questions even before any moves are done to proceed.

Like:
🤷‍♂️WHY is something like that needed in this already over filled world?
🧐WHY would it be different to some other products already existing?

When we made the Merion beanie - the WHY was answered by super quality and fitting to our activities. Plus it looks good on everyone. 🇪🇺 European made of course.

☀️❄️When the neck scarf was created, it was simple - a lot of neck scarfs are some flimsy thin ones, serving just as cheap marketing tools. We wanted one that fits our activities with dogs from France to Scandinavia. Meaning thicker, denser, good looking, warmer, soft and with good stretch. Our Portuguese partners made it happen!

As our products are European made we also opt for fair pricing - some might disagree but we feel good about it in our souls!

That is a look into the WHY philosophy.

Emilie was out racing with the Rebelt - super light but INVISIBLE?Now that might be the new level of canicross fashion. You dont even know its existence.

Kidding, we dont do fashion - 99% function and the more hardcore, the better.

" Hello ReBelt "

Lumac Rebelt was made to be the purebred race belt in our offering - everything non essential was striped down. We ended up with 1️⃣3️⃣0️⃣gr weight(including attachment shackle), superior breathability ❗️, extra padded ⚠️, highly adjustable belt.

Rebelt has leg straps that attach to the hip belt from both sides - but the geometry was worked up from zero. We believe this solution makes the belt stay better in its place, following runners🏃‍♀️🏃 natural movements.
All adjustments possible are done by downward movement👇 - which seemed logical and user friendly☺️.

🔁Front cord that is a wear part can be easily changed.

🔀Every material has been chosen for function, durability and its weight. All plastic details are provided by our partner Duraflex - known for their quality👌.

" Snow -》 Safety "

We dont forget our musher friends either here.
In north snow❄❄ has fallen and we need to think about safety.⚓

So our super starting lines that went to several Finnmarksløpet and Femundløpet with Team Birgitte Næss are making a return.🔄

High strenght↔️, high wear resistance and high visibility in blue♂️ and pink♀️!
Standard measure 8.5m with loop sewn in our workshop!❗

" The process "

As the introduction of the belt comes closer, we figured to share a little bit of the process behind.🥸
Many re-starts - starting from zero, many modifications and re-designs and a looOOT of communication📞 with our team and testers.
We tried some mesh options, some different design, dyneema straps etc but ended up with completely something different with rather custom materials.😵‍💫

There are no beauty images but the raw truth how communication works in our product development phase as all our athletes are far away from us.❗️

" Specialized "

Even many customers love colors🌈 our biggest pride is to specialize. 🤯👀 So the human - dog bond could be more fulfilling. 👫🐕

Team lines in many colors with years of experience behind and the notorious Noring collars which are racer favourites - we still seek to improve.🧐
It is the details and our experience what allows us to be successful with products like that.🧘‍♀️
But is a product ever finished or perfect?⁉️

" Clarification - 8Feet "

8Feet is the name we gave our stick solution - two dogs on the line, eight feet running 🐶🐻‍❄️

❎In the 8Feet series we have three main modification.
1️⃣One for scooter/bike lines (12.8cm wide stick - short cord part)
2️⃣One for team line lead dogs (12,8cm wide stick - long cord part)
3️⃣One for team line team/wheel dogs (22cm wide stick)

BUT the tug line lengths need to be made according to the line, where 8Feet will be used.

⭕️Of course, clients can get just the stick, stick with cord attachment or the 💯% full 8Feet system with tug lines included.

" Orange with touch of black " Just before shipping out..final inspection. Last 2 weeks of work more or less on that one. Offering a nice selection and choise to customers in Switzerland. Figured to share as it looks real nice :) Lumac - For stronger bonds!

" Target " The Foot Armour sock history started with two very special targets. First one was - we needed socks for our long distance dogs who were training a lot on ground. We had very low snow years. Using cordura socks jus got too expensive and annoying. Second targets was - that mid distance dogs could run about 16km continuously. We were told, such socks did not exist on the market. And also we were not keen on leaving any rubber particles to nature - before we tested with polyurethane coating etc. Current solutions seems to check many boxes with one go :) Lumac - For stronger bonds!

" Reaper " We get a lot of questions about Reaper anchor. Does it fit to my anchor holder. Answer is compex, it some what fits to some sled but to many Danler sleds it does not fit. At the moment we are not in the liberty to guarantee where it fits. It is a little bit trial and error. There will be a limited amount of those light and compact hooks going to market this year but we are not yet done. More information is needed We dont give up yet.
