Just a little post about me as I’m new here 🙋🏻‍♀️ Not new to the dog grooming industry though. I’ve been grooming dogs since I was 18 years old, and now I’m in my final year of being in my 30’s. My auntie was a dog groomer and from a very young age, I went to work with her and watched like a hawk, taking it all in. I always knew this was the job for me. So off I went to college and gained my qualification. Even today I still expand my knowledge, and attend seminars, take part in webinars as there is always something new and always something to learn, new techniques, tools etc. I am now thinking of learning Asian fusion grooming. I have had a few years away from the industry, but I’ve still been learning and ready to set my business up again.

Why am I mobile? Why do I groom in the clients home?

I’ve worked in salons, in a van and even a trailer! But honestly I love grooming in the clients home, because it’s more of a personal service. I find the dogs are a lot more relaxed as they’re in their familiar environment, and the owner can sit and watch the whole process from start to finish. I am always happy to answer any questions you have during the appointment 💕

Since opening my diary, I have taken several phone calls from people who have dog’s that are double coated, wanting them clipped/shaved off.

Please please please, do your research as to why a double coated breed should not be clipped.

Unless in extreme circumstances for medical reasons or the coat is matted and the welfare of the dog is paramount, I absolutely will not shave off a double coated breed.

I’m contemplating changing the logo before I open, because people aren’t recognising the breed of dog.
As a poodle lover, and being the iconic breed it is, I might change it to that.
