We always encourage training dogs with the owners present as it goes hand in hand with the owner knowing how to read the dog aswell as giving the right amount of pressure/structure otherwise this could end up leading to a nervous dog with the pressure used the wrong way and also bad behaviour due to command timing / frequency.

Kane the Doberman 🐶

A few months ago I came across a post stating there was a Doberman going to be put down due to the previous owners neglecting him and giving him a all round poor life. ( 0 training and very skinny )

I took the opportunity and paid £300 to collect the dog and told myself I’d give it my all to offer him the life he deserved, after a few weeks of feeding him up, bonding and giving him some love , we got to work with the training as we were now on a level with eachover.

because of his poor start/ management being left on a chain with his old owner , we had to go the long route and put the beginning foundations in too as he was a bit reactive towards pretty much everything , meaning any traffic , any suspicion or sudden movement, Any passing dog/person. this was quite simply his head not being in a calm place ( as he wasn’t exposed to being calm in these environments and not being stimulated enough by the owners

After about 8 weeks with good routine he went from being dog aggressive to socialising and sharing food between a group of my dogs with 0 aggression or guarding, he went from choking himself to the point where he couldn’t breath to then walking in a perfect loose lead position , went from being nervous around loud sudden sounds to doing sit stays in a busy town centre and ignoring ongoing and passing people / dogs it blew my mind how quick this dog took to training 🤯

he has since completed his training and been placed on a farm where he can be offered
The right exercise/diet and continuous routine to thrive and do well. I did not take a penny for this dog as I felt everyone had already made there money out of him and it had got him nowhere !! I’m in it for the dogs every time and this boy was a real gem 🏆❤️
