We are very sad to have to tell all her friends and followers that Sandi passed away peacefully this morning, 15 February 2024, on her way back from her morning walk. She was 11 ½.
Sandi had bravely and graciously battled lymphoma since August 2023, but alas in late December her original course of chemotherapy lost effectiveness, and from January 2024 she was given palliative recovery treatment.
Even in her last days Sandi enjoyed short walks and meeting people, and was still lovely and friendly. She even paid Mansfield College students a last therapy visit on 11 February.
Many thanks to all those who wrote to express their concern for Sandi, and to those who were able to see her in her last weeks. And thank you to everyone who has followed Sandi’s page over the years.
