Our Story
Does your dog need walking while you’re at work? Maybe you’d like your dog to get more exercise? Have your circumstances changed and you can't walk your best friend as much as you'd like? Jeeves & Woofster Dog Walking Services offers group walks and individual puppy sitting and walking services for Abingdon, Drayton and the surrounding areas. Walks cost from £13.
Jeeves and Woofster Dog Walking Services is owned and run by me, Sonia Newman with the help of my own dog Poppy and Leah and Daisy - both whom are fantastic with dogs. We are insured, reliable, responsible, canine first aid trained and have plenty of experience between us. I have ran my business since 2014 with 50+ dogs walked by us each week (averaging 20+ per day). A lot of the dogs have been with me since puppies so we have trained them up to be dogs with excellent recall and social skills. We are insured to walk up to 6 dogs on each walk where they get our undivided attention in fun, secure and dog friendly locations in and around Abingdon and Oxfordshire. You will probably find us, most days walking at Radley Big Woods, Radley Lakes, Cothill Nature Reserve, along the Thames Path or at Sutton Courtenay Millennium Woods. The dogs that get walked more than once weekly are given varied walks which take into consideration their love of either woodland walks, running free through fields (not farmers fields - we are very considerate!) or river walks for lots of splashing fun. The dogs are returned home after a brush and wash, if needed, and left with a treat, if requested, and a text to the owner to let them know they are home. All our photos are uploaded daily so you can see what fun they have had.
I am licenced to board dogs in my own home under the Vale of White Horse (licence number 20468) but I will only board clients dogs who have been with me for six months and have done a trial overnighter. This is because I want the dog to have a stress-free stay where they know me, Poppy and the dogs that they get walked with. They respond to my commands and I know their personalities well. My main concern is always the welfare of the dogs under my care.
We also do cat sitting and have a fabulous client base of 50+ regular cats who I love to go and visit and fuss over whilst their owners are away on holiday. I lost my own cat of 19 years last year so these cats still allow me the company of a cat without owning one. Owners get to see photos of their cats daily on here and a daily text, if requested.
