Today is our first day of our annual Santa Paws event at Pets at Home Blackburn we will be here all week to talk to you about fostering, adoption or how to become a volunteer. Come and meet the team, have a go on our fantastic raffle you could win one of our hampers donated by Morrison Great Harwood. Or have a go on our Name the Dog. All donation will help support your local RSPCA Lancashire East Branch.

🐾 We had a visit from our ex resident Cookie today, looking all festive in her Christmas hat and collar 🐾

Cookie and her owners brought lots of lovely Christmas presents for our animals, which they will all love opening on Christmas morning 🎁

Everyone at the RSPCA Lancashire East Branch would like to say a massive well done to Carl Egan on his Hike for the Houndies in memory of the Fabulous Flash. Carl walked 25 miles in memory of his beloved lurcher Flash whom he adopted from our centre in 2013. Today would have been Flash's birthday making Carl's achievement much more special and personal and is the reason he chose today to complete his challenge.

We were very surprised to see Carl arrive just before 3pm at the centre which was the conclusion of his 25 mile hike which he completed in good time all best with a 5.30 am start.

To date Carl has raised £481.00 for the animals in our care. A massive achievement and well above his initial target. If anyone would like to donate their is still time just click on the link. We would love to get him past the £500 mark.

⭐️Jadey went out on the long line with her handler this morning so she could practise her recall! Look how clever she is… This lovely girl is very food motivated so picks new things up really quickly!⭐️

Hi everyone,
Tomorrow is the big day when Carl Egan, one of our fabulous volunteers, completes his hike for hounds in honour of the gorgeous Flash whom he adopted in 2013 but sadly lost in 2021. Flash was well known at events we have held over the years, accompanying Carl and his legacy lives on as Carl hikes 25 miles to raise funds for the animals in our care. Carl will be completing his hike for houndies on the 30th of November which would have been Flash's birthday.
