I hope everyone has had a safe and pleasant Christmas and New Year. Thanks to the amazing teams involved in supporting Pet Pantry Clacks, we're coming in to 2024 strong. The Pantry is open tomorrow from 4pm-7pm at 1 Cleuch Drive, Alva to collect Food Packages.

I'll be popping a list up of Pet Pantry Availability for 2024 by the weekend as there may be some changes to scheduling due to work commitments.

I will be posting up some photos of items that may be of use to folk will discuss those needs with those who feel they could benefit from particular items as well as appropriate and correct usage advice of any items to prevent any potential welfare implications.

I've been out today and gratefully picked up a full basket of donations from Pets At Home Stirling and also been to spend the Blue Cross Voucher given for Pets At Home as well. 🥰 Thanks once again to the generosity if Pets at Home shoppers, Pets at Home and the Blue Cross for the ongoing support 😍

Blue Cross have been generous and organised a voucher this festive period for Pet Pantry to use in Pets at Home to get some extra supplies! I'll be popping over tomorrow to fill a basket for food parcels

I've been rushed off my feet lately but want to thank everyone who has donated recently and offered support for the Pet Pantry Clacks, Alva Parish Church Food Larder are incredible and always supportive beyond measure and very grateful to work alongside them, Blue Cross UK for their immediate and ongoing support and encouragement, Pets At Home Stirling for being incredible in hosting a donation bin for us and communicating like true bosses and logistics, to Scottish SPCA Pet Aid for their continued support as well, thank you, to The Cats Whiskers Alva a wonderful and most recent networking opportunity to work alongside each other to support, offer help and advice to those who need it; thank you so much for your support recently it had been incredibly helpful this week! I also want to thank every single person within clacks who has been incredibly thoughtful, kind and generous, be it offering ideas, donations of food or items or spreading the word. Every single thing you have done has been hugely beneficial to those the Pet Pantry supports and makes a difference.

Merry Christmas to all of you and I look forward to continue working with all of you in 2024 and continue to grow Pet Pantry Clacks to offer as much help and support as possible.

A reminder that we are largely unavailable to offer delivery or drop off of food parcels and arrangements must be made by you to collect either from Cleuch Drive in Alva or Alva Parish Food Larder every 2nd Friday. You can arrange to have someone collect on your behalf if you cannot manage yourself.

It's been a busy time here with work, celebrating Christmas a bit early with family as I'm working all through the festive season this year but managed to pop in and see the lovely ladies at The Cats Whiskers in Alloa and we had a wonderful chat and will be doing what we can to liase and work together to continue to support vulnerable pets and community members. 🥰 Thank you so much to the team for your kindness!

Pet Pantry Clacks helps support around 15 households with pets regularly and the number is increasing all the time. If anyone can spare donations of cat and dog food, wet and dry (unopened and in date please otherwise I have to dispose) Donations can be dropped off at 1 Cleuch Drive, Alva or in the Blue Cross bin at Pets at Home Stirling 🥰 It's desperate times for supply and demand right now with stock depleted. If anyone has any suggestions on whom I could approach to ask about having a food bin in store that would be amazing, I'm struggling to hear back from Supermarkets currently.

Alternatively, if people would be interested in doing a little pet food drive/collection at work Pet Pantry would be incredibly grateful for the help and support as winter draws in and demand is very high and stocks are very low

We are looking for support for our Reverse Calendar Appeal 2023. Each day in November has a different product which we need to create our food parcels. There are also a few Christmas items which we would love to be able to hand out in our December parcels.
Donations to be handed into 2 Ludgate w/c 27/11/23 so we can sort ready to be spread some Christmas cheer.

Pet Pantry Clacks will be at Alva Food Larder 12pm-3pm today - I'm running on limited parcels at the moment as the need for support has doubled in recent weeks. I currently have no cat food available and limited dog parcels and collections & donations have slowed down as well as people feel the pinch more and more.

Any support at all with unopened, in-date pet food is always appreciated.

We're on the lookout also for a 2nd hand outdoor storage chest (similar to the image) if anyone may have one they no longer use? This will allow safe donation drop-offs to Cleuch Drive if we are not at home and will keep items dry and contained.

The Pet Pantry has seen a real upswing in supportive measures distributed across the community over the past few weeks and always appreciates any help with food donations offered.

In saying that, if any local businesses would like to discuss the possibility of popping a donation bin in store I would be delighted to discuss details via private message or email: [email protected]

If any workplaces would consider a donation drive/ appeal for unopened, in-date pet food, the benefits would be far-reaching!

As the winter months draw in, the pinch at this time of year is felt especially hard. Every little helps.

Busy day for Pet Pantry, I've some emails to get through on the support side for the pantry and a few pick-ups later on this afternoon.

Remember the new hours are Mon & Wed 4pm-7pm

Fridays are every 2nd week at Alva Food Larder! I'm still working on providing more pop-up locations around Clackmannanshire.

This morning I had an appointment with the very lovely Carrie from the SSPCA, she is the Pet Aid Coordinator for all of Scotland, helping pet food banks up and down the country and has been wonderful in helping oor wee Pet Pantry Clacks out with donations to keep up with the demand. It is always a pleasure working with her and very grateful to Carrie, the SSPCA and their Pet Aid Initiative! Between SSPCA Pet Aid and Blue Cross & Pets At Home Stirling I wouldn't be able to do as much as I currently can or support as many as I can. Times are tough, if you are in a position to donate Pet Food (unopened and in date please), do reach out!

A reminder, Pet Pantry has been available Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. This will still be the case but please note the change of hours due to work.

Monday: 4pm-7pm
Wednesday - 4pm-7pm
Friday every 2nd week Alva Food Larder 12-3pm

At all other times, I am unavailable due to work or family time.

Thank you so much to the very kind, anonymous donor who dropped by with some Adult dog food yesterday, my husband answered the door and I didn't get a name. Your contribution very much needed and valued as we had no adult dog food at all. Very much appreciated!

Donations of unopened, in date pet food is always welcome! Critical needs include Adult Dog food both Wet and Dry and Kitten food Wet & Dry. Donations can be dropped off at 1 cleuch drive, alva, fk12 5ny. 💚

I spent a few day in Milton Keynes with 2 of my best friends for their glorious wedding and even with all of that planning and organising on their minds they were so kind to gather supplies and send me home with a donation of goodies for our little Pet Pantry Clacks. A heads up for everyone, the pantry is very low on Adult dog food right now, but I do have some senior ( age 7+) and a fair few puppy packages (age under 1yr old). I have very low stock of kitten food, but do have adult and senior cat food parcels available.
