Jachttraining 4x dinsdagmiddag
11-18-25 februari en 4 maart, 13.00-16.00
Waar zou je aan willen werken of waar loop je tegenaan. We werken 1 voor 1 in overleg en kunnen oefeningen dus makkelijk aanpassen.
Thema’s waar aan gewerkt kunnen worden:
Zit, blijf, steady.
Steadiness met nog meer afleiding.
Stoppen op de fluit en recall, terugfluiten.
Apporteren en aflevering.
In feite horen ze allemaal bij elkaar en natuurlijk zijn er nog veel meer thema’s. Maar laten we niet alles tegelijk doen en kijken in stapjes hoe de oefeningen gaan en waar we puntjes op de i kunnen zetten en natuurlijk waar extra aandacht naar uit moet gaan in vervolgtraining. De checkup voor en van een accurate opbouw.
Goed doordachte trainingsplannen en werken en denken in precisie.
We vertellen je niet wat je wellicht graag zou willen horen, maar vertellen je wat er werkelijk gebeurt en dat gaat allereerst over elk effect op de hond.
Vervolg cursussen en privé lessen zijn mogelijk.
Elk ras of elke leeftijd, ook pups en jonge honden zijn welkom. Eric zorgt voor maatwerk voor alle deelnemers.
We werken per hond in korte sessies terwijl de overige honden de ruimte hebben om telkens even (in de auto) rust te nemen, op zichzelf al een onderschatte oefening.
Groepstraining in maatwerk aangepast per persoon en hond.

PRECISIE TRAINING the Professional Way
6, 13, 20, 27 februari 2025
4 x donderdag middag. Tijd: 13.00 tot +/- 1600.

Training, as always, in precision. De “ongoing series”.
Training bestaat uit meer dan een paar keer iets proberen, vandaar de ongoing series.
Waar zou je aan willen werken of waar loop je tegenaan? Bijvoorbeeld: werking richting een rechte lijn apport, wij gebruiken geen visuele Marks als paaltjes of linten maar bouwen aan een lijn apport in stapjes en geheugen.
Accurate reflex training, waar de hond reageert op een efficiënte, precieze en zelfverzekerde wijze.
Focus en markeer bekwaamheid. Het introduceren van een lange termijn focus als hulpmiddel bij een lange afstand apport.
Efficiënt apporteren, de hond doet het werk.
Precieze aflevering, in kaart brengen van aflever issues.
Volledige fluitcontrole, meteen stoppen op 1 meter, 10 meter, met als doel uiteindelijk 100 meter.
Dirigeren zo eenvoudig mogelijk gemaakt wellicht met de hulp van placeboards.
Het zijn maar enkele voorbeelden van wat er zoal mogelijk is, je kiest zelf in overleg bij aanvang van de cursus waar je allereerst aan zou willen werken of wat je zou willen opstarten in de training.
Wellicht wil je beginnen met trainen maar weet je niet precies waar te beginnen, wellicht ben je al aan het trainen maar loop je vast bij sommige oefeningen. Deze cursus is voor jou, start de samenwerking met jouw hond, werk in stapjes en precisie.
Eric Burchell zet zijn jarenlange ervaring en expertise in om maatwerk training te ontwikkelen voor jou.
Werken zonder dwang maar binnen grenzen. Er zijn multiple mogelijkheden, ook, bijvoorbeeld met de clicker als je dit hulpmiddel in training kent en wil gebruiken. Maar mocht dit niet zo zijn dan kunnen we je in een aparte workshop ook leren hoe het werkt en hoe ontzettend leuk het is, mits goed en weldoordacht ingezet.
Primaire en secundaire bekrachtigers ingezet als trainings gereedschap, indien passend en bruikbaar is in de training. Goed doordachte trainingsplannen en werken en denken in precisie.

Today Eric Burchell was interviewed again for the English magazine the Field. He was contributing this time to an article about gundogs and selecting, breeding, selling, transporting, judging, trialing and training gundogs in other countries as well and all the different aspects of it. The article will probably be published in late spring this year. The pictures below show his earlier contribution to an article about his company ACT, Advanced Canine Technologies, the detectiondogs and the use of dog-cameras in one of the research projects many years ago.

Stop to the whistle
Het klinkt zo simpel, je blaast op de fluit en de hond stopt onmiddellijk en wacht op meer informatie. Het ziet er ook eenvoudig uit als je het een goed getrainde hond ziet doen. Maar het heeft wel wat oefening nodig om de fluit als een rem en soms zelfs een noodrem in te kunnen zetten.
Eric Burchell, gerenommeerd Engelse Field Trial judge als enige present in Nederland. Winnaar van zeer veel trials, fokker en trainer van kampioenen zal u de basis leren. Eric zal de basis stappen demonstreren met zijn eigen hond(en) zodat het plaatje simpel en helder is.

Stop on the whistle
It sounds so simple, you blow the whistle and instantly the dog stops and waits for further information. And it looks easy if you see a well trained dog do it. But it does take some practice and a solid base to be able to use the whistle as a break and sometimes an emergency break for your dog.
Eric Burchell, renowned English Field Trial Judge and the only one present in the Netherlands. Multiple Trial winner, breeder and trainer of champions will teach you the basics. Eric will demonstrate the basic steps with his own dog(s) so your picture will be clear and simple.

Keith Erlandson and Eric Burchell go back a long way. As Eric’s mentor and friend they trained together at Keith’s beautiful but tough grounds. Eric used to stay at Keith and Audrey’s place for several days a month for years and years. Keith, Cyril, Eric, and more, the stories are great. Training together, judging together, all dogs and the love of Spaniels. Also Eric’s well known Speckle (Wernffrwd Pawn), daughter of Snake and sister of Ci Twt, still deserves a place on our lecture room wall.
