Tracey Dawber, our Franchise Support Manager, recently hosted a charity raffle in aid of PDSA as she gears up for the 2026 London Marathon — and what a fantastic evening it was! 🎉🐾

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us at The Clatford Arms at Goodworth Clatford. Together, you helped raise an amazing £650 for a brilliant cause.

And a heartfelt thank you to all the local businesses who generously donated such wonderful raffle prizes! 🎁💙

🐾 Petpals’ Franchise Support Manager Tracey supporting PDSA 🐾

Tracey is taking on the London Marathon for the fourth time 🏃‍♀️🏅 to raise funds for PDSA, the charity that provides vital veterinary care to pets whose owners are in financial difficulty. Her dedication to pets and the community perfectly reflects the Petpals spirit – care, compassion, and in Tracey’s case, quite literally going the extra mile for animals.

Tracey has been featured in the Andover Advertiser for her fundraising efforts and upcoming charity raffle 🎟️ at The Clatford Arms in Goodworth Clatford.

🎆Fireworks are likely to continue throughout this week and into the weekend. Here’s a reminder of how to help keep your pets safe and calm 👇

🐾 1. Walk them early – Take dogs out before dusk to avoid unexpected bangs during evening displays.

🐶 2. Keep them indoors – Close windows, curtains and doors to reduce noise and flashes. Create a safe space for them with toys and blankets.

🎵 3. Play calming sounds – Pop on the TV or soothing music to help mask the bangs.

🪪 4. Check ID tags & microchips – Make sure details are up to date in case they panic and run off.

🚧 5. Secure your garden – Double-check fences and gates for any weak spots or gaps before fireworks start.

💙 A little preparation now will help your pets feel safe and settled all week long.

🐈‍⬛🖤 Happy National Black Cat Day! 🖤🐈‍⬛

Today we’re celebrating the beauty, mystery, and charm of black cats – often overlooked due to old myths and misconceptions.

🐾 Sadly, black cats are still the least likely to be adopted from rescue centres. They account for nearly three times more entries into RSPCA care than other colours and take around three times longer to find a home.

Why? Superstitions, outdated beliefs, and the idea that they don’t photograph well have all unfairly impacted their chances – but we know how wonderful they truly are.
