We also have our long term foster boy Myles, who’s been with us for 5yrs now and will stay with us due to his fear of people but he’s Ciara’s shadow 💙 he gets to run the fields every day and loves his chicken feet.

OSCAR 3 yrs old and his mum SMOKIE 5yrs old .
These 2 gorgeous dogs came back to us after being in a home .due to a change in circumstances. They have now been with me 7 weeks and I have to say they are the most affectionate pair . Always together and get on great .They are both fantastic on the lead Smokie always out front and Oscar by your side . The reason why we would love these 2 to go to a home together is Oscar is a big shy boy .He is what they call a spook but saying that within a day that he was with me he came round to me .I get him to meet different people all the time once you give him a cuddle /stroke he is all yours . Their ideal home would be a home where there is not a lot of confusion going on .They would be perfect for someone that has no young children as I think it would be too much commotion for Oscar . Please please there must be someone out there that can give these 2 a lot of love .They are 2 big lazy lumps but do enjoy their walks and a play in the Garden . A perfect pair as they can keep each other company . It makes me really sad that there has not been any interest in this pair . Please can I ask everyone to SHARE far and wide and let’s get these 2 back into a loving home .We would hate to split them up . Thank you 🙏

Date for your Diaries …The most important walk of the year .If you haven’t been able to make other walks please try and Make this one .Sighthounds all over the world will be taking place and each and everyone of them get counted .Fingers crossed the weather is on our side as we have had very wet walks in the past .Come along get registered and most importantly of all be counted ….

Now to Find Mr Baloo who is a great boy and will make a very good pet .
Oscar and Smokie who are just the best .Oscar is a little bit shy for being such a big boy but doesn’t take long for him to come round some treats and cuddles and he is a very affectionate boy .Smokie is also a sweetheart and very friendly .
Poor Arnold who has been with us a long time 🥲
Dreamer who just arrived in with us and is a gorgeous 6 yr old girl …
Bliss who is also a shy girl but once she comes round she would fill you full of kisses .

Mr baloo and miss dreamer also attended the walk today and so well behaved. Baloo was that calm you would forget your walking a dog, such a gentle boy. Dreamer was great also, a little interested in small dogs but very easily controlled and walked on no problem. Honestly can’t believe Baloo has had no interest he’s honestly the most chilled out boy you will ever meet

We would like to Thank each and everyone of you for coming out today and braving the elements .Rain hail or shine we don’t give in 🤣🥰One of the wettest walks ever .Hot baths and hot whiskeys for all tonight 🤣🤣.As always Thank you to Bernie ,Margaret ,Thomas and Becky for helping out with the teas and the merchandise.Lots of hounds treated to new collars and raincoats etc .We had a gorgeous 8 week old Italian Greyhound come along to meet everyone the youngest and smallest yet at one of our walks . 😍Miska has been Reserved and we also had a couple very interested in Porsha let’s keep our fingers crossed that she too has found her forever home . We love these walks and no matter the weather you are all always there to support us . 🙏Thank you 🙏

How’s this gorgeous boy still no interest. Baloo gets out during the day with my own two dogs, karma and sonic can be a dominant pair so this lets me see how foster dogs react to being with other dogs. Muzzled at all times off lead but off for a few pictures, they all get on so well and have never had any arguments with each other. Baloo can live with other dogs but needs to be fed separately as he doesn’t like dogs around him when eating, even tho he eats his dinner that quick this is shouldn’t be an issue. He’s such a gentle loving boy

We are in need of towels, duvets, blankets or bed sheets (no pillows). Also we go through a lot of sardines 😬 if you would like to throw a tin into your shopping basket it’s always much appreciated.

I am so surprised no one has snapped up this gorgeous pair .Yes it’s a decision that needs to be made sensibly because they are 2 .They just love to laze about after their walks and after dinner they just snooze the evening away .2 dogs are just as easy as one to handle /Walk.Oscar walks by your side on the lead but Miss Smokie likes to walk out front as she just loves meeting people 🤣🤣This pair were in a home for a short time so are housetrained and here they are very clean in their kennels . Oscar is just a big snuggle buddies as he loves to lie and cuddle beside you and if Miss Smokie can fit in she joins in 🤣🤣.Yes Oscar is a little shy of people but once you meet him and take him for a walk he will be your best friend . We would love to find these 2 their forever home such a brilliant pair and keep each other company .They would need a home where it is not too busy with young children with Oscar being that little bit shy but he just loves my nieces .Please if you are interested in giving this pair a home please contact the page .There will need to be a few visits to make Oscar feel comfortable.He is what we call a spook greyhound he is scared of his own shadow lol 😂

Walk Sunday 4th August Lady Dixon park (upper car park)
We are there from 1 pm setting up come along grab a cuppa and a bun and have a chat with like minded people . Meet the beautiful greyhounds Smokie and Oscar , Arnold , Porscha ,Miska ,Balloo and Bliss all looking for their forever homes .. Even if you don’t have a sighthound but are interested in the thought of adopting one these walks are great so you can see the breed ,their general size etc and speak with other adopters to see how a greyhound fitted into their lives .Looking forward to seeing faces old and new .We will have leads,muzzles ,martingale collars and leads ,coats,vests etc with us so you can have a browse … ♥️

Unfortunately penny now called Porsha has been returned after 4mths in a home. It was decided by us that it was best for her to find a home as an only dog. Sadly there was a fallout between Porsha and her sister, even tho she got on great with the other Labrador in the home. Her owner says she’s an absolute sweetheart and settled into home life great, walks perfect on the lead. She arrived back today thanks to my sis Kathleen and brother in law for going to irvinestown to get her, honestly she’s such a gentle affectionate girl who needs back into a home soon, as I don’t know how she will cope being back in Kennels, She’s also house trained

All we seem to be doing lately is reading about Rescues full and at their limit .No movement on rehoming dogs .We are exactly the same We have Arnold here from February and almost no enquires about him ,Balloo ,Miska ,Bliss ,Mother Smokie and son Oscar who need a home together and today we had a dog returned due to not getting along with her sister .As you all know it’s only the 2 of us who actually do the rehoming along with all the rest of the work that comes with it . We are always hoping tomorrow will be a different day but sadly it’s not . We take in greyhounds and board them in private boarding kennels ,they have to visit the vets before rehoming and there is also our food bill . Everything is mounting up and with not being able to hold our regular walks we are missing out on much needed funds and also getting people out and about to see the greyhounds and hopefully give them a home .At the minute we are very deflated as we see no end to dogs on our waiting list to come in . Please can we ask everyone to keep on sharing our dogs looking for their forever homes .Sharing is very important and I know not everyone will Share but it is the one way you can really help us . We are organising a walk to be held on Sunday August the 4th hopefully we can get a dry day .We will hold a raffle on the day along with our usual teas and coffees and have our merchandise with us. We have dogs waiting to come in from Nov 23 it’s now nearly August .🙈We cannot take anymore on board until the ones we have are homed . Anyone that follows our page knows of Miss Nova .With us a very long time nearly 2 years but if any dog deserved the best life it was her . So long waiting for a home to call her own she was sadly overlooked but we never gave up . We don’t normally have dogs waiting long to find their forever homes but Miss Nova and another Girl we Had Miss Peppa are 2 who waited the longest . Most people know we just don’t hand out dogs to anyone they have to be a match for the family or home they are going too and maybe this makes it harder for us to find the right homes .I always go into a home on a homecheck and think Would I let one of my dogs live here another reason it is ciara and myself who personally go out and do the homecheck and speak with potential adopters . I know it’s the summer months and people are on holidays and maybe a reason rehoming is slow .At the minute we have 6 wonderful dogs looking for their forever homes Baloo ,Miska ,Oscar and Smokie ,Bliss and last but not least Arnold . Pleas when we ask to Share please post wherever you can and try and help us find these beautiful dogs their homes as we have a waiting list of dogs to come in after them . I love seeing photos and updates about all our dogs and great meeting up with them at the walks .We are always on hand for advice or anything you need to know or ask .I hope you all enjoyed seeing these photos of Nova as much as I did .She puts the biggest smile ever on my face as she literally battled a lot when she was so unwell .Now she is eating raw food and on no medication all her tummy issues in my eyes were due to stress ..Just look at her now a very happy chilled out girl .A big Thank you to Maraied for recount her into her home and family 🥰

We really need EVERYONE that follows us to please SHARE our beautiful dogs awaiting their new homes .We have Oscar and Smokie (who come as a pair ) Arnold that has been her since Feb , Baloo ,Miska and Bliss .We have another girl we need to take nect week who has been waiting since Oct 23 . Each dog costs us £20 a week which is very cheap as we use Private Boarding kennels and they are very good to us . Without them we could not do what we do . 6 dogs soon to become 7 @£20 a week my mathematics say .£120 a week . Some have been here awhile 🙈Along with food bills and vet bills it’s a lot of money .That is why it is very important for you to share each and every post you never know who will see it .. We have also lots of dogs waiting to come in and we really don’t know what to do .Every night we go to sleep we wonder what is going to happen . We have lots of followers and as before we asked if everyone could just donate £1 it would be a massive help to us .Our vets bill is £5000(we are so lucky we can tune in up a bill ) We are 2 people that live the hounds and want to help as much as we can …Please please SHARE it if you would like to donate a £1 you can either do so using paypal [email protected] or Bank transfer (please contact the page for details )We really would love to find these greyhounds their forever homes ❤️❤️❤️
