🐰 Rabbit Haemorrhagic Disease is a widespread, life-threatening virus ⚠️

Often called viral haemorrhagic disease, it is seen frequently in unvaccinated rabbits because it spreads quickly through direct and indirect contact with infected rabbits.

The best way to protect your pet is with regular vaccinations throughout their life. This not only protects them but also decreases the spread of disease.

If you have a pet rabbit and need to check if their vaccinations are up to date, or need to get them booked in, call the clinic and speak to a member of the team.

Is your pet in pain? Here’s what to look out for! 🐾

Pets can’t tell us when they’re hurting, so it’s up to us to spot the signs. Some common clues include:

🔹 Changes in behaviour – Is your pet more withdrawn or grumpy?
🔹 Unusual movement – Limping, stiffness, or difficulty getting up could mean discomfort.
🔹 Eating less – A loss of appetite can be a sign something’s wrong.
🔹 Excessive grooming – Constant licking or chewing one area? They might be soothing a sore spot.
🔹 Hiding or avoiding contact – If they suddenly don’t want to be touched or seem distant, it’s worth checking out.

If you notice any of these, don’t wait. Book a vet check-up to keep your pet happy and healthy.

Fido decided to take me to training today. He rang Debbie Chandler and explained that whilst I (Jo) might be able to help ill pets, that I haven’t the foggiest about walking to heel.
Debbie was incredibly patient with me, but frankly I think she had more luck teaching my daughter.
I struggled (but I could get a part in The Ministry Of Funny Walks, should it ever be resurrected). Fortunately Debbie finally got through to me - lots of practice needed and then we’ll be back for another session.
