I love it when I get a call from a new puppy owner who wants to get everything right at the start of their journey together 🐕 Had a great 1 to 1 session with 10 week old Dalmation Bella and her lovely owner at their home 🏡 so we could talk about and implement good routines, relationship building, focus and engagement games etc, so they have a head start before attending puppy classes 👏🏼🐕💕

Owning a new puppy 🐶 can bring lots of emotions both positive and negative ; joy, love, laughter, excitement and also frustration, fatigue and stress to name a few 🙈 We can do lots of things to ensure we have a harmonious relationship with our puppy 🐾
- Understanding your puppy’s breed traits
- Does this breed suit my lifestyle
- Doing Activities together to build a bond
and great relationship
- Providing lots of enrichment

It’s lovely to see our current puppy intake living their best life and having great fun with their dedicated owners 🐕💕

Owning a reactive dog can bring many things, one of them can be loneliness 😔 Your friends and family are doing fun activities with their dogs and you want to join in but your dog is reactive 🐕 If handled correctly and depending on each individual situation this can be resolved 🐶

When one of my clients ‘Liz Norris’ got her lovely little puppy Jessie she wanted to join her parents on walks and have sleepovers but their Westie ‘Dougal’ was reactive and wouldn’t accept Jessie into the house, after a few sessions being handled correctly with time and patience they are now best snuggle buddies and love sleepovers together 🐕💕

Hi Folks, there will be no puppy class this evening (4pm till 5pm) as I’m Mantrailing in Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 but the 5pm till 6pm and 6pm till 7pm will be going ahead with Alfred instructing 🐕💕

Had a great day judging the dog show at the West Hallam Ploughing Match, wonderfully well organised event with lots going on 🚜 🐴 🐑 and a great variety of stalls, a really good turnout despite the weather and another great obedience display from the TPL Dog Training display team, hope everyone is home and has dried out 🐕💕 Didn’t get a pic of the display team today we were all soaked so here’s one from a sunny day 😂😉
