In our Puppy Foundation classes our puppies are taught that being examined is great fun and involves lots of tummy rubs and the handlers learn to spot any early signs of concern πŸ•

STRONG FOUNDATIONS are essential in everything we do πŸ• Team Boris and team Teddy have been training with us since 12 weeks old, giving them the life skills they need to see them through adolescence 🐾

They have great focus and engagement with their handler and passed their Kennel Club Bronze Assessment with flying colours, great teamwork πŸ‘πŸΌπŸ†πŸ΅οΈπŸ•πŸ’•

I love it when I get a call from a new puppy owner who wants to get everything right at the start of their journey together πŸ• Had a great 1 to 1 session with 10 week old Dalmation Bella and her lovely owner at their home 🏑 so we could talk about and implement good routines, relationship building, focus and engagement games etc, so they have a head start before attending puppy classes πŸ‘πŸΌπŸ•πŸ’•

Owning a new puppy 🐢 can bring lots of emotions both positive and negative ; joy, love, laughter, excitement and also frustration, fatigue and stress to name a few πŸ™ˆ We can do lots of things to ensure we have a harmonious relationship with our puppy 🐾
- Understanding your puppy’s breed traits
- Does this breed suit my lifestyle
- Doing Activities together to build a bond
and great relationship
- Providing lots of enrichment

Owning a reactive dog can bring many things, one of them can be loneliness πŸ˜” Your friends and family are doing fun activities with their dogs and you want to join in but your dog is reactive πŸ• If handled correctly and depending on each individual situation this can be resolved 🐢

When one of my clients β€˜Liz Norris’ got her lovely little puppy Jessie she wanted to join her parents on walks and have sleepovers but their Westie β€˜Dougal’ was reactive and wouldn’t accept Jessie into the house, after a few sessions being handled correctly with time and patience they are now best snuggle buddies and love sleepovers together πŸ•πŸ’•

Dogs are such faithful animals πŸ•while walking along the beach last night I saw a collie laid on his humans belongings who had gone snorkelling 🀿 The Collie wasn’t phased by passers by and remained on his owners clothing while he watched him snorkelling so intently πŸ•πŸ’•
