Meet Connor — our playful, happy Spaniel mix!

At just around 1.5–2 years old, Connor brings the perfect mix of fun energy, sweetness, and eagerness to learn. He absolutely LOVES tug toys, fetch sessions, and any game that lets him play with his people! Connor starts off a tiny bit shy with new faces or busy places, but he warms up quickly and soon shows his affectionate, goofy side.

He adores gentle attention, enjoys cuddles, and gets so excited when it’s time for play. With other dogs, Connor is a social butterfly — especially with friendly, playful pups around his size (bonus points if they’re confident females!). He would be just as happy being your one-and-only best friend, though. He’s still learning about harnesses and walks, but with a bit of patience and treats he’s going to be a star.

Highly playful. Strong preference for tug toys, fetch, and interactive play. Shows appropriate bite inhibition and good toy engagement, Response to Commands Performs basic cues reliably in low-distraction environments. In high-distraction settings, attention may shift; requires continued training for stimulus control and handler focus.

Connor is looking for an active, loving home that will enjoy adventures, play sessions, and helping him continue to grow into the amazing dog he already is. Children over 10 years old and a secured garden.

He is healthy, vaccinated, castrated, full blood tests including Brucella Canis and ready to Fly.

Woof Berry Treats

We all love treating our canine companions. And finding a healthy, high reward training treat can be expensive. This tasty treat comes from Elizabeth Whiter’s You Can Heal Your Dog, a Practical Guide to Holistic Health and Veterinary Care book and is a favourite of ours here at STAR. Let us know if you give it a go, and what your pooch thinks of them too!

Woof Berry Yoghurt Treats

500g carton of natural yoghurt

200g blackberries

1 ripe banana, mushed

3 level tbs peanut butter (make sure no palm oil or artificial sweeteners)

Place the ingredients in a large bowl and combine them until they form a mixture with a loose consistency. Spoon the mixture into a silicone ice cube tray or silicon cupcake moulds and place in the freezer. After 2 hours the cubes should be firm to touch. Pop one out as and when you want to offer your dog a treat.

🌟 Meet Star – a beautiful 3.5-year-old Cypriot Pocket Pointer with the softest eyes and the bravest heart.
Star hasn’t had a good start in life.
She was likely used as a hunter’s dog — used, abused, and thrown away like rubbish when no longer needed.
She was rescued just in time — saved from the fate of a killing shelter by kind-hearted people who saw her worth.

A gentle girl with a heart full of love.
Protective, not out of fear, but out of deep devotion.
She doesn’t beg for attention — but when you offer her love, she will return it tenfold.
She’ll follow you from room to room, quietly keeping watch, just wanting to be near the one she loves.

Tank has waited over 8 months for his special family, please don’t let him wait any longer.
Tank, another victim of the “unwanted dog” syndrome that strikes so many in innocent creatures in Cyprus. 😢
Tank was found outside a pound, tied up with a rope around his neck. Someone had changed their mind about him and discarded him as though he were just rubbish, possibly an unwanted toy who grew too big, simply abandoned. Typically for Cyprus, Tank wasn’t microchipped, so his owner couldn’t be traced. 😢
But they have lost a very special boy, a gentle young soul, who now needs your help to find a loving forever home.
Tank is a beautiful Eurasia ### , with the distinctive blue tongue and amazing personality. He is a calm boy, affectionate and very friendly, good with people, other dogs , but … failed a recent test for good/indifferent attitude towards cats 😔 .
Tank is approximately 2 years old and weighs 19kg, a real sweetie with a constant grin on his beautiful face, he smiles at everyone! Tank is playful and loving; he has so much love to give and craves the interaction from humans, he has a happy personality and would fit seamlessly into any home. Can you offer Tank the loving home that he deserves? You won’t regret this little gem of a boy! Tank has waited over 8 months for his special family, please don’t let him wait any longer. He has already missed so much of his young life by being behind bars at a time when he should have been a playful puppy, not a discarded toy.

Tank is currently in a a small volunteer-run shelter, but desperately needs his own home now. He needs much more than a little bit of love every day from the shelter staff, he needs a proper home where he can give and receive lots of love with his own special family. This perfect boy needs YOU!

Will anyone ever see Mangus?!……..

Mangas was born on June 17, 2021 🗓️.
As a tiny puppy, he was bought as a “gift” 🎁 for a young boy — but his life had nothing to do with joy or play. He spent his entire life locked in a cage 🥺, without walks, cuddles, or the chance to see the outside world.

When the teenage owner got bored and said he was leaving for studies, he surrendered Mangas to the shelter… for studies that never happened. 😞
Since August 2024, Mangas has been in shelter — and despite everything he’s been through, he remains one of the kindest and most easygoing souls ❤️.

He gets along wonderfully with people and other dogs 🐶👫.
He’s gentle, calm, and grateful for every bit of love and attention he receives.

Mangas is a German Shepherd–Labrador mix, fully vaccinated, neutered, and microchipped ✅.
He doesn’t ask for much… just a second chance 🌈 —
a home where he’ll finally be loved, taken on walks, and shown what it means to truly belong 🏡💖.

ANNABELLE — left on the roadside, waiting for someone to choose her.
Currently in Cyprus .

This is Annabelle, only 13 months old and just 11kg — a baby who should have been playing, learning, and loved…. Just a baby who already knows what it feels like to be invisible.

She was found lying by the side of the road near a village—no microchip, no collar, no one looking. No food, no water, no safety. Just a tiny, trembling puppy in a world that hadn’t been kind…. Just a tiny, defeated body curled up against the ground, as if she didn’t expect anyone to stop for her.

HER TRANSFORMATION
Annabelle is now safe in a private shelter — the first place she’s ever known where hands touch gently and food always comes. At first, she didn’t know what love meant. She flinched, kept her eyes low, unsure if she was allowed to hope.

But slowly, this sweet girl is discovering that humans can be kind.
She now comes forward for gentle head scratches, cautiously wagging her tail, as if she’s learning what joy feels like in small pieces. She is soft, gentle, and unbelievably loving once she realises she’s safe.
WHAT SHE NEEDS

Annabelle is still nervous with strangers — and after what she’s been through, who could blame her?
There isn’t a single bad bone in this little girl .
She adores other dogs and finds safety in their company.
Because of her timid nature:

✅ She must have another kind, confident dog to guide her
✅ She needs a quiet, calm home, no children
✅ A secure garden is essential
✅ A patient adopter who understands that trust takes time — and is worth every moment

She is playful, happy with other dogs, gentle and sweet. Once she relaxes, she loves to play and would be a joyful companion for someone who wants a loving, fun, but sensitive friend.

🌸 Meet Beautiful Bine – Our Gentle Mum Looking for Her Forever Sofa 🐾

Bine is a stunning 2.5-year-old Spaniel x Collie girl, weighing around 15 kilos — graceful, gentle, and full of love to give. 💖

This brave girl found herself in a shelter, heavily pregnant and with her companion Buster, after their owner sadly could no longer keep them. Despite everything, Bine’s spirit never faded. She went on to raise six gorgeous puppies — all now in loving homes — and now it’s her turn to find the forever sofa she so deeply deserves. 🏡✨

Bine is a calm, affectionate soul who greets everyone with a wagging tail and a soft heart. She adores cuddles, enjoys time with her doggy friends, but is just as happy to relax quietly on her own. She may be a little shy for a moment, but it only takes a few minutes before she’s leaning in for snuggles. 🤗

She’s wonderful with children (10+), travels beautifully in the car, handles vet visits like a pro, and lights up with excitement on her walks — greeting other dogs with perfect manners.

This fabulous girl is spayed, vaccinated, Brucella Canis tested, healthy, and will be ready to travel to the UK in December — passport already packed! 🇬🇧✈️

Bine would love a home with a secure private garden, where she can play and feel safe. She’ll blossom as an only dog or happily share her sofa with another gentle canine friend. All she needs is a family ready to give her time, patience, and endless love — and she’ll give back a lifetime of loyalty and affection. 💕

Cindy’s Story — A Plea for Help 💔
Ten-month-old Cindy, a 5 kg puppy, was hit by a car in Cyprus and abandoned by her owner, left in pain with a fractured spine. Taken to 3 Vets, X-rays showed surgery could stop her pain but she’d never walk again. She now needs a wheelchair and daily bladder care. In Cyprus, finding such a foster home is like searching for a needle in a haystack. We decided to give her a week — just one week — for that miracle to happen.

And then… the universe answered. 💫
Hannah reached out — experienced, kind, and ready to give Cindy the love she’d never known.

Fast forward 10 days, and Cindy is now safe in Hannah’s arms. She sleeps in a soft bed, surrounded by new furry friends, wagging her tail and showering Hannah with kisses. She already knows she’s loved. 💕Cindy now sleeps safely, surrounded by love and furry friends. Her vet bills are €800, and she’ll need ongoing care and her own wheelchair.
