Meet Marcus and Julios, two beautiful 3-month-old puppies who were rescued from a lonely beach in Cyprus. Found starving and scared, alongside two other siblings, they were saved just in time from a certain and heartbreaking fate. These babies had no one — no mother, no safety, no comfort — only the sound of the waves and the fear in their tiny hearts.

But hope found them.
They are now safe in a shelter, where they’re beginning to thrive. But a shelter is not a home. These boys deserve more. They deserve love, warm beds, walks in the park, and someone to call family.

✨ Meet Marcus
The first to be rescued — Marcus is the biggest of the bunch, with kind, soulful eyes and soft velvety ears. He loves human attention and listens well, especially when treats are involved! He’s gentle, curious, and just waiting to pour all his love into someone who’ll love him back.

✨ And this is Julios
A little smaller, a little more shy — but with a heart just as big. Julios has a soft, soulful face and stunning brown markings that make him look like he’s straight out of a storybook. His gentle nature shines through his long, thoughtful eyes. He needs time, patience, and love — and he will bloom.

These boys are expected to grow to around 15–20kg when fully grown.
💬 They’re learning to socialise at the shelter, but they desperately need a forever home to continue their journey.

They need a family who will understand puppy mischief, who will love them through the puddles on the floor, the chewed shoes, and the learning curve… Because in return, they will give you unconditional love, loyalty, and a bond that lasts a lifetime.

🐾Charlie 🐾 - URGENTLY SEEKING UK FOSTER OR ADOPTION HOME ✈️✈️

Meet Charlie!! The MOST Stunning Shepherd boy 🐕⭐️

This beautiful boy is around 2 years old and approximately 30kgs.
Poor Charlie was found as a stray, roaming in a large group of dogs. He was very timid, but he’s been doing so well since then!
Charlie has been living in a lovely foster home in Cyprus for a couple of weeks now, and he’s shown just what a wonderful companion he is!
He is very loyal and very kind.

He has clearly been abused by men though, and unfortunately this makes him timid and anxious around them. He prefers women and has bonded immensely with both the lady looking after him, and their children, but hides when men approach.

Charlie is housetrained, great on a lead, has 100% recall on walks and gets on well with other dogs and children.

Due to his fear of men, we would ideally be looking for a female household- but somewhere that can slowly build his trust with men over some time. He trusts hard and is incredibly loyal so once he has built a bond with a female, his fear of men should be something he can start to recover from ❤️

Charlie is great with children, though due to his size and age we would recommend a home with only children over 10 years old and he would like a large, secure garden to enjoy playing with his new family and friends.

A resident dog would probably be helpful and supportive to Charlie becoming a little more confident 🐾💗

Charlie’s current foster home is time limited and with no space in the shelters, we need to help this boy find a safe home;

This is Starlet, a stunning 1.6-year-old Vizsla cross, with unique eyes, one blue, one brown ,that have seen too much—and a heart that still believes in love. 💔

Starlet was rescued from a hunter who planned to use her for endless breeding. He even showed our rescuer a photo of his 12-year-old breeding dog and a pile of tiny, lifeless puppies… along with the rusty cage where Starlet would have been imprisoned. 😢 To save her, our rescuer had to pay him. Because Starlet’s freedom had a price—and we couldn’t let her become another forgotten soul.

Now, she runs joyfully around the yard, celebrating the simple miracle of being alive. 🐕

✨ Who is Starlet?
• ~20kg of goofy, affectionate energy
• Loves humans—she melts into cuddles and wants to be by your side
• Friendly with other dogs, or could be your one and only
• Clever, food-motivated, and fast to learn

Starlet is a typical sporty hound—active, playful, and emotionally intelligent. She needs:
• A family with experience with Vizslas or similar breeds
• A semi-rural or rural home with space to run
• Secure garden access for her zoomies and ball-chasing
• An active lifestyle: long walks, hikes, or fun adventures
• Children over 12 only; cat compatibility unknown

She’d love a friendly dog sibling, but she’d also thrive as your loyal solo companion if given enough human attention.

✨ Meet Kai – The Clever, Cuddly, and Completely Adorable Pup ✨

Kai is an extremely clever and heart-meltingly sweet puppy. We believe he’s a Pointer cross Staffie, and our vet estimates he’ll grow into a handsome boy of around 30–35 kilos.

Kai’s journey began when a kind young man found him in the Larnaca area and didn’t hesitate to help – straight to the vet, then into the safety of his home. From that moment, Kai’s true personality has shone through.

🐾 Smart as can be: In just a few days, Kai has learned to walk beautifully on the lead without pulling, and he’s already showing off tricks like sit and paw!
🐾 Loving & social: He lives with another dog and loves the company. He welcomes cuddles, belly rubs, and attention from everyone he meets.
🐾 Healthy & ready for adventure: Vaccinations have started, and he’ll be all set to fly to his forever home on 28th September.

🌟🐾 Meet Lucky – The Wibbly Woobly Cutie! 🐾🌟 currently in his foster home in Essex.

At just 4.5 months old, Lucky has already been on quite the journey. Dumped in Cyprus, he found safety in a wonderful shelter before flying all the way to the UK to begin his search for a forever home. Now in foster care in Essex, this gorgeous Pointer puppy is ready to win over hearts! 💕

Here’s what his foster mum says:

One minute he’s bouncing around the garden in a game of chase-me, the next he’s curled up fast asleep by your side. HATTIE IS LOOKING FOR HER FOREVER HOME

Hattie -Cyprus

This is our gorgeous little bundle of fluff affectionately know as scuffy.

Hattie was born into the home of a hoader she is 5 moths old weights 4kg and will be no bigger than 8-10kg fully grown.

Hattie had no socialisation before she came into foster with me a few months ago I have been slowly picking her up and hiving her cuddles which she loves and slowly showing her lots of love and trust.

She still has a long way to go she is happy to approach you for stroke and wi lick your hand and take treats but any sudden movement and she will move away. In the right home with someone who has the time and patience to give her lots of love and help her gain confidence she will be a wonderful loving companion.

Hattie definitely needs the company of another dog. She loves other dogs and happily plays and runs around the garden chasing them all. She loves her toys and will patiently wait until one of the other dogs drops their toy and she will pick it up and take it to her bed. She currently lives with cats. She will bark at the cat if it’s up on the unit but if he jumps down she goes to welcome him with kisses and lots of licks.

Hattie is fully vaccinated and has clear blood test including Leishmania and Canine Brucella and is ready to travel at the end of September.

Hattie would prefer a quieter home no young children and must have another dog for company.

She is nearly fully housetrained but dies have the occasional accident if the door is closed.

Hattie has never been on a lead so this is something that needs time and patience for her to trust and realise that she is safe.

All Hattie needs is lots of love, patience and cuddles and in time she will be a wonderful loving companion ❤

There are 12 categories to choose from and the overall winner will be awarded a £50 credit to sponsor and name a puppy in the New Year.

Each category winner will feature in our 2026 calendar and be immortalised forever!

Our judges are independent and not part of the STAR team (just in case you were wondering) Entry is a £5 donation per photo with all proceeds going to support the STAR dogs and cats. You can enter as many times as you like and we will also share every single entry on our FB site

💔 Drake – A Gentle Soul Searching for Home 💔

Drake is one of those rare dogs who feels like pure kindness wrapped in fur. He greets every person with soft eyes and a hopeful wag, leaning in close as if to say, “please don’t let go.” Affection is his favorite gift — whether it’s a quiet cuddle, a reassuring scratch behind the ears, or just sitting close to you, he soaks up every moment of love.

Though he carries himself with quiet confidence in familiar places, there’s a tenderness to him — a gentle soul who wants nothing more than to belong. Drake enjoys his walks and playtime, exploring with curiosity, but he’s just as content to curl up and rest at your side. Around other dogs, he’s often friendly and playful, though he prefers easygoing companions who, like him, just want harmony over conflict.

His past may have left him with challenges, but it never hardened his heart. Instead, Drake radiates trust, forgiveness, and the deepest longing for connection. He is the kind of dog who will gaze at you as if you are his whole world — because to him, you will be. 🐾

Drake is also a little warrior – he has leishmaniasis, but with treatment, it’s fully under control. He’ll need to stay on his medication for life, but that doesn’t stop him from living each day to the fullest.

At just a week old, tiny Rosie and her three siblings were left without their mum, abandoned before they even had a chance at life. 💔 Thankfully, a kind soul named Kiveli found them and hand-fed each puppy around the clock. During the wildfires in Limassol, they were even evacuated in an emergency – but these brave pups survived it all. Now Rosie is safe, loved, and ready to find her forever family.
