Bella enjoying the air con after her summer trim..she should be in a hair advert! Just a reminder about looking after your dogs in this hot weather ☀️Walk dogs early in the morning or late in the evening, NEVER during the day especially as dogs can burn their pads and suffer from heatstroke. ☀️Give your dog a good brush (especially double coated to remove any hair that has shedded) so the air can get to the skin. ☀️Lay wet towels down for them to lay on and put on hot patios or if they are super spoilt, get a paddling pool out if you have one. You can also purchase cooling mats which are great too! ☀️Make sure fresh cold water is always topped up ☀️Make cooling tasty treats by making ice cubes with your dog’s favourite food inside or stuff a Kong and pop it in the freezer ☀️Be particularly careful with short nosed dogs such as bull breeds, boxers, pugs, older dogs, and those that are overweight. These dogs can get heatstroke simply by running around.
