As you know, things have been very difficult this past year here at Eccles Hedgehogs and due to a family bereavement, we have been on a break.
Numerous circumstances have changed, many of which are totally out of our control. After a long hard think, it has been concluded that reopening our part of the hedgehog rescue in the future is just not going to be viable. This is a decision that has not come lightly with a lot of torn up feelings and guilt.
We have rescued and rehabbed literally hundreds of hedgehogs since we opened which could not have been done without your amazing support so thank you to everyone one of you.
Our volunteer Jenna will continue to take in a small amount of hedgehogs directly via vets and we will remain as a collection point for your supplies for both Jenna and our colleagues in Strood.
This way we can still do our small part in helping to save hedgehogs in the future. Supplies can be left in the usual collection box by the front door.
All that remains is for me to wish you all a very merry Christmas.
Regards
Philippa, Heather and Emily
