So Rangers returned our favourite little shetlands after 3 weeks on full livery as little Jazz had a touch of laminitis. Lovely to see them back at home. Especially for little 37 yo Peanut.

Round trip to Christchurch via the New Forest today. Long way but traffic was kind. Collected a 4 year old unbacked New Forest who was good to load and travel apparently. As an unseen purchase when I pulled up it was rearing repeatedly and kicking out I could see a potential front bar jumper as a strong possibility. After mixed messages with regards how she travelled to the yard a few months prior, I decided to remove the centre partition, including the front bars. Cross tied her allowing her the whole trailer with no chance of jumping anything or getting caught up. (Trailer version of a Stallion Box) Top doors shut air ventsand windows open, camera on and and off we went. Whilst keeping my 👀's on her via the camera. She loaded and travelled like a seasoned professional. As an experienced professional I followed my instinct as prevention is always the best policy. Happily delivered safe and sound to the new owner. 😀

Early 5am start today but sun is out and beach ⛱️ deserted. Lovely. Apart from a FREEZING force 10 gale. Riding restrictions from tomorrow but Sandwich Bay have NO restrictions throughout the year. Another lovely place to ride with Seals 🦭 for company sometimes. 😀

The Endurance GB season has now started and here is a list of the great rides that are either in the South East or within a couple of hours drive.

Our Fun rides - termed Pleasure Rides or PR's are very relaxed and friendly. We have passing protocols in place, no jumps and start from around 16km (10 miles) although some have mini 5km options for lead reins.

PR's are suitable for any novice combination as there is no minimum speed so you can appreciate the countryside and enjoy time with your horse.

We like to encourage you to attempt a 8km, basically walk, trot and perhaps a nice canter in suitable places, as endurance is a sport after all.

Most regions may have a competition for pleasure riders to win a trophy and distance rosettes if you help once in the year at an event. In the South East group there is the Weald trophy where you gain points for distance and times between 8 and 10.5kph.

So in the South East grouo you do not have to be a member to win a prize, just help, We do hope you get the bug and enjoy our sport and join up obviously. It's cheaper in entries if you do more rides as well.
