At the beginning of November myself and a couple of the ferrets travelled all the way down to Devon to judge at Filleighwood Ferret Show! There were some absolutely spectacular ferrets present and I’m very thankful to have been asked to judge 🥰
I wasn’t judging Kit classes or NQR so I took four of the kits with me; Mushu, Scatha, Taz and Gostir. And I also brought Katasunga as I was threatened with the silent treatment by a ten year old if I didn’t bring her 🙈 the night before, said ten year old presented us with three felt squares and a glue gun to magically come up with ideas for her fancy dress costume (she placed, thank goodness 😅)

Gostir was in a massive Kit Hob class of 25, he got shortlisted to the final four but didn’t place.
Scatha got 3rd Kit Jill.
Kat amazingly got 1st NQR.

A massive thank you to Delilah and Stef for keeping an eye on my fuzzies while I was up judging, it was much appreciated 🥰

We had a chaotic trip down to Wales at the weekend to attend The Welsh Ferret Club open show and thankfully the fuzzies made it well worth it. Results are as follows:

Dragon - 1st Silver Hob
Glaurung - 1st Angora Kit
Sebastian - 1st Not Quite Right
Belle - 2nd Albino Jill
Orc - 2nd Polecat Hob
Fangorn - 2nd Silver Hob
Sebastian - 2nd Coloured Hob

Dragon then went on to receive a Judges Favourite rosette and my tiny Taz got chosen as a Stewards Favourite 💚

Super happy with the ferrets as always and was wonderful to catch up with everyone 💚

Finally getting a chance to post about our Rutland results 😅 fuzzbutts smashed it as always 💚

Fangorn also went on to get racing champion with my amazing little helper Delilah. Then Orc and I went on to get 1st place human and ferret fancy dress, Orc was a haggis and I was a haggis hunter in case it’s not immediately obvious 🫢 (and believe it or not I wasn’t the only entrant) the judge got a good laugh anyway 😅

And finally my little Taz went on to get best kit in show, with my handsome Glaurung taking reserve 💚

Last weekend we were non stop with a show on Saturday in Yorkshire and then one on Sunday in Derbyshire 🙈

The first was a fun show at Keighley where the placings were:
Belle - 1st Albino Jill
Zuri - 1st Sandy Jill
Sebastian - 2nd Coloured Hob
Gronkle- 2nd Angora Hob
Gostir - 2nd Kit Hob
Katasunga- 3rd Silver Jill

Then secondly there was the DRWLC show where the fuzzies placed as follows:
Nazgûl - 1st Polecat Hob
Daisie- 1st Coloured Jill
Moria - 1st NQR
Hector - 1st Veteran
Roo - 2nd Polecat Jill
Thorin - 2nd Silver Hob
Katasunga - 2nd Silver Jill
Lyra - 2nd Coloured Jill
Goliath - 2nd Angora Hob
Zuri - 2nd NQR
Belle - 3rd Albino Jill
Gronkle - 3rd Angora Hob
Glaurung - 3rd Kit Hob
Scatha - 3rd Kit Jill

Belle - 3rd Veteran

And then Daisie went on to get Reserve Champion! Only beaten by Riot at Fox & Fern Ferretry who got Champion!

After all of that, eleven of my gang were entered into Pride of Peaks which was for any ferrets who’d earned a first place in show this year.
Five of my gang were shortlisted into a group of ten: Gronkle, Nazgûl, Dragon, Lyra and Minas.
To top it off, Gronkle went on to get joint 2nd Reserve Champion of Champions (alongside Riot at F&F) and Nazgûl went on to get Reserve Champion of Champions, again with our wonderful friends at Fox & Fern Ferretry taking Champion of Champions!

Again, I couldn’t not have done it without my little superstar Delilah who was such a wonderful help at both shows and was raring to get in the ring to show off the fuzzbutts 🥰

Katasunga and Scatha got Joint 2nd, and Belle got 3rd in the ferret maze. A massive thank you to my wonderful helpers Delilah and Harriet for running them for me! I definitely would not have had the time otherwise 🙈 the girls did an amazing job and have their rosettes to prove it 🥰

After all of that my tiny little devil Taz went on to win Kit Champion and my big lump Gronkle went on to win Show Champion!

A massive well done to all the exhibitors and a massive thank you to judge Yaz Porritt for thinking so highly of my fuzzies, and to Stef Peel who organised and stewarded the show to such a high standard 😁

🌟 Introducing Taz 🌟
Taz is the newest addition to the ferretry 💚 she is from EU lines and may possibly join our lines in future. She’s a little sweetheart and is currently getting integrated with our other kits and the gang 💚
