Star is a 3-year-old collie and is looking for her forever home.
Star only has three legs, but it is no issue for her as she manages them very well. She has the most adorable eyes, a loveable temperament, and a cheeky side. Star loves plenty of fuss and belly rubs. She likes people and is generally friendly but does bark at the odd person, so she starts to feel comfortable. Usually, a good walk breaks the ice.

Everyone meet Jimmy who is a collie / lab. He is 7mths old and has the best temperament. Jimmy is a loveable and playful little pup with so much love to give . Playtime is his LIFE ! He loves toys and will play all day long. Jimmy would benefit from a good secure garden that he can run about in and call his own. He is a happy and curious little fella and is fantastic on lead with no pulling or messing about. He is very good at listening, recall and he gives the best cuddleโs. He will wrap his paws around you and never wants to let go . Jimmy will require all the basic housetraining skills again. Jimmy loves to be around you and watching whatever youโre doing. He gets on great with other dogs for a play and chase but will require a meet and greet session. He is a clever boy who has bundles of energy and is a lot of fun to be around . He would be a great addition to any family with kids as he would love all the fun and interaction. He finds the noisy kennel environment too much and becomes very jumpy in kennels which walking by puts people off him. But when heโs away from kennels heโs such a different and happy little dog . Being in kennels at 7mths of age for Jimmy is heartbreaking as thatโs when we see a change in his character. He gets this sadness in him where you can see how unhappy he is and when returning to his kennel . He gets very anxious and restless with a worrying expression on his little face. Jimmy has so much growth and potential to give his forever home. Everyone meet our Bart boy who is a fun loving young collie who is 8mths old . He has been here at Benvardin Kennels for approx 10 weeks. He is such a playful little character who just loves to run around and get up to mischief. Being so young Bart gets really frustrated in kennels due to boredom as he is the type of little dog that needs to run around outside and keep active . He loves to socialise with other dogs and just adores playing tug of war with his doggie friends with an old towel . Bart would be good with kids and enjoy the chase and interaction. He just loves getting into play in our training room as you can see by the video. He is such an intelligent boy and learns certain skills quite quickly. Bart unfortunately is not housetrained and would require more basic training . He is so good on the lead but a harness would be more comfortable for him . He loves meeting new people and will run to you for a cuddle. We all here at Benvardin Kennels hope that Bart can eventually find his forever home where he can finally explore beaches and parks as he loves out and about especially places heโs never been before . If u can offer Bart a loving home where he can be happier and less stressed so as he can be the pleasant, affectionate, fun loving rascal he is . Everybody meet Sabre!! He is a male German shepherd and is 1yr/ 2mths. He has been here at Benvardin Kennels a long time 7mths to be exact. He can be very timid around strangers but once he gets to know you and begin to form comfortable bond he will be the most lovable pooch. He is good with children but they must be the age of 12yrs and over. Breed experience is a must as he needs an experienced handler to further his confidence. He has come along way since he entered the shelter. Thanks to the staff here at Benvardin Kennels ( especially Louise ) who has made him the happy , playful and confident dog that he is today. He previously lived in a shed outside his home with no house training at all although we have managed to get his toilet training a work in progress. This big fella deserves a good home where his confidence can flourish. He is good with other dogs preferably the same in size and not too bosterous. Heโs good on lead but can pull at start due to excitement. Sabre is at his happiest when outside chasing after his doggie friends . Please welcome Jack and Milo to our Benvardin family. They are 9 week old XL bully cross Collies, and aren't they gorgeous ๐ โค๏ธ
They've been hand reared from 3 weeks old and have brilliant wee personalities. Such friendly pups. They require training on the lead and house-training.
If you are interested in adopting one of these wee guys, please note we are only accepting applications from people who will not leave them on their own for any more than 3 hours and also have backup from friends or family to check in on them. These pups will also come under the XL Bully exemption rules which are to be implemented sometime 2024. We will do all we can to help you get them registered when the time comes.
