It’s hot out there and I’m in a bloody fur coat. Remember to keep me cool, particularly if I’m staying at home while you’re swanning around, eating ice pops in an air conditioned office. Bella’s top tips:

1. Soak a tea towel and freeze it. You can drape it on my back (not a cool look but a great feeling) or I can lie on it

2. Freeze some carrots and give them to me instead of my normal chew

3. Walk me early doors or in the evening when the sun has gone

4. Get me a paddling pool - the plastic shell ones they sell for human baby sandpits are great as I can’t burst them with my claws

5. Make sure I have plenty of water - put extra bowls around the place so I don’t have to hunt for it when I’m feeling lethargic

6. Put a cooling pad on my bed before I go to sleep.

7. Set the sprinkler up in the shade (before Rishi brings in a hoze pipe ban)

8. Rub my belly (nothing to do with the heat - just reminding you that I like it)

9. Love me more than my sister - I should be your favourite

Mr Groomshack hasn’t posted for a while. Mrs G thought that by withdrawing her admin support he would pick up the mantle and swiftly adapt to become a social media expert / marketing strategist. Sadly this was not to be, however happily business is booming enough for her to cut him a little slack. Unfortunately this does mean countless cute pooches have not been posted. Mrs G could not resist though when she saw these pics. Mr G was in his element. Such a gorgeous boy!

PS Mr G would like me to add this is NOT a promotional post. He’s booked solid until early June so if this tempts you to make a booking, you’ll need to book ahead and he’s only taking new clients if they’re as gorgeous as this little fella 😊

The Groomshack is proud to be supporting the Steeple Aston Pre-School silent auction, raising money for their outdoor space. We’ve donated a voucher for a full or part groom, worth up to £45.

Now we all know Mr G prefers small furry creatures rather than the snotty kind, but Mrs G caught him on a good day….

A very Merry Christmas to all our wonderful customers from the Groomshack! A fully booked January is the best Christmas present we could have wished for, and we can’t wait to see your little furry faces in 2023!

So it appears we had a bit of fall out after last night’s post… Clearly Bella has developed opposable thumbs and has been checking out the Groomshack feed. Oooh someone’s jealous! Replicating her big sister’s cuddle. Unfortunately for Mr G, this one weighs a ton! 😂

Mr Groomshack having a cuddle with his princess, Millie. (She may snore like an ogre but she’s still his princess ok?!) She’s in desperate need for attention, watching pooch after pooch get priority in the Groomshack. Mrs G pointed out that Millie could do with a trim before Christmas. “Have you booked in?” he asked without a hint of sarcasm…. 🤨

Who says boys can’t be pretty? The Border Terrier is a Groomshack veteran and was having a lovely time. From the look on his face in the after pic he’s not altogether happy his pamper session was finished! What no massage? No hot towels?? 😠 😂

Mr Groomshack cursed Mrs G for not allowing him to ’invest’ in the ‘frivolous’ electric table. Mr G pointed out it would have been easier when the Dulux boys came for their grooming session. Mrs G answered that we’ve saved both on the table and the gym membership…. Mr G conceded the point, grumpily. (He’s now saving for the electric table.)

Mr Groomshack had to have a word with his PA today as she’s behind on her admin and the posts haven’t gone out (due to actual work commitments that she’s actually paid for). She’s catching up so now, so you can finally see a selection of some of the beauties that have crossed the Groomshack threshold so far this week….

PS If you don’t see a pic of your baby - apologies - but some are just way too excited to show off their new look, they simply can’t sit still.

PPS In case you’re wondering, the ‘words’ he used when addressing his PA’s efficiency were “please” and “thank you” 😂 💘

The Groomshack has had an amazing first month in business! A huge thank you to all our new customers - we didn’t expect such a wonderful response so early on but have been delighted by the positive reception, the rebooks and the variety we’ve seen through the Groomshack doors. We’re now starting to see some familiar faces return and we couldn’t be more pleased.

Today we had everything from nervous dogs to nut jobs, with a princess in the middle for good measure (of course). Very different temperaments but all settled when Mum or Dad left. Don’t worry, Mr G can handle it. Most of his grey hairs were caused by humans 😁

Mr Groomshack has decided that he needs to have at least one Husky in every week! This one’s still a puppy - popped in for his first groom! (Apparently our Quality Control Inspector was on a break - he was nowhere to be seen 😂)

Tonight Matthew, I will be… ADORABLE!! Check out today’s Groomshack stars, plus evidence that our Quality Control Inspector takes his job very seriously…. The very sweet puppy had his first groom and met his first cat all in the same day. 🥰

We started Groomshack Dog Grooming because we struggled to find a local dog groomer that could give us an appointment that fitted around our work schedules.

Don’t be afraid to ask about flexible timings - we’ll find a time that works for you!

Glad Mr Groomshack has still got time for our gorgeous Millie now business is booming! Mrs Groomshack didn’t think she needed a trim yet but Mr Groomshack’s decided she’s a ‘brand ambassador’ and needs to look on point at all times 😁.
